Success from 2014 thru 2020 regarding Mercedes and Lewis were quite successful. Where's the talent now that there's parity and a budget cap for 2022......and or success with Mercedes.
I am not denying that Hamilton is not performing well this year compared to Russell, with what is a difficult car. We are talking about 2 exceptional drivers at the opposite end of their career. Hamilton's best years are behind him that's obvious; for Russell they are yet to come, hopefully. But Hamilton is far from washed out, although I guess his motivation isn't what it was. Today again, he has been batling with a ***** of a car and finished 4th: that's not the sign of a man who takes it easy.
And yet Alonso, given his age, STILL tries to extract everything out of the car.....and defends quite strategically as well. Some "throw in the towel" while others keep persisting.....age is all in the mind. #StillWeRise. #AnythingIsPossible....isn't that Lewis's mantra???
We are all different and age at different rate. For all the praise people lavish on Alonso, he hasn't won a GP since 2013, I believe, and cut himself of the winning teams. When he met Hamilton, he was twice WDC; since Hamilton has won 7 titles, and Alonso a few GPs. To me Alonso ruined his career. He may get good drives from time to time, but that amount to nothing.
I totally agree on Alonso's "cancerous" team issues.....but the guy doesn't quit regardless of the car.
Wrong again In their time together, Button scored more points than Hamilton (672 to 657). In their time together, Button scored more podiums than Hamilton (25 to 22). In their time together, Button's average ranking in the WDC was higher than Hamilton's (5th, 2nd, 5th for Button, for an average of 4; 4th, 5th, 4th for Hamilton, for an average of 4.33). We know how much you love Hamilton ... but please, for the love of all things holy, try to stay far away from basic math.
In their 3 years together, Button only bettered Hamilton only ONE YEAR, in 2011. In 2010 and 2012, Hamilton had better results. There is no such thing as the "average ranking", you are making it up. Each year is a new championship. We know how much you hate Hamilton, and like to spin the stats to your advantage. Explain why you never participate to discussion about racing, drivers, teams, formula, rules, tracks, or results on this forum, but only dive-bomb on any thread about Hamilton to spew your hate?
You said, in their time together "Hamilton scored more podiums than Button" ... you were WRONG. You said, "ranking in the WDC" matters ... I merely pointed out that Button's "ranking in the WDC" was better than Hamilton's, on average (or, in total). (Short version: Button beat Hamilton by more, in one year, than Hamilton beat Button in two years combined). I participate in many discussions ... you are free to search, if you like But why, exactly, is that relevant? Finally, thank you for explaining that, in your mind: "correct math" = "Hamilton hate" Says it all, really Have a nice day!
This is undeniable that the spygate episode in 2007 cost him a lot with Mercedes. He was clearly blacklisted in 2012 with the German team.
Hamilton wouldn’t miss Canadian GP "for the world" despite back struggles Lewis Hamilton has dismissed concerns about his participation in the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix after his back pain struggles in Baku, saying he “wouldn’t miss it for the world”.
Russell showed what could be done. Would be same for Max LH or other top drivers lol. Lots o Laps and few points!
Icy Hot Patch for back pain. Start using them right now!!! Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen as well. Good luck.
Don’t think so. Can’t have sympathy for people like him. Obviously the driver was great and the 2007-2008 Lewis is the only one I want to remember.
Suddenly half of Fchat will have nobody to hate and will go into depression. So many come on here ONLY to discuss Hamilton!
