Rules and regulations don't change in the NBA like F1....to include the freakin ball vs an F1 car.

So a 10th place driver in the points standings has the same "credibility" as the 5th place driver let alone the 1sr place driver in the points standings??

So, when Hamilton wins GPs and titles, it's not him, it's the car.

But when he doesn't do well this year, it's NOT the car, it's him !!

    Talk about double standards !

In all fairness, when he was winning championships, some were saying it was him. Now that he isn't winning anything, those same people are blaming the car.

Meh people make any excuse to hate him. Its always 80% the car. That doesn't take away from his accomplishments, just like it doesn't take away from any other driver.

Yep. He sure does lose to a lot of teammates, though, and beating one's teammate is Job 1 for any F1 driver. Why do you think that is?

It's ALWAYS the car, I've never said otherwise. And along with having a great car comes the ability of a GREAT driver who is NOT tearing up the equipment.
You cannot name ONE WDC who took a substandard car and won a WDC.
    BUT
You can name guys who had the equipment under them to WIN a WDC and they DIDN'T.
OK. How many WDC's do Lewis' teammates over the years have? Bet it doesn't add up to SEVEN. Clearly, he beats his teammates more than they beat him. Or is winning WDC's not the goal here in "I hate Lewis" land. It's "Button scored more points in 3 years"...yes, he did. And he won ONE WDC when he had...wait for it...the BEST car (and NOT Lewis' teammate) and was smart enough to NOT tear it up.

Not a bad situation at 37! Yes LH has no skills lol. Again he owns many here simply because they just don’t like him for whatever reason Utter continuous pollution and diversion of a good forum.

Lauda recruited him - why do you think that is? Lauda certainly credible in his assessment of LH.. Numbers show that. At 37 a younger team mate is driving a bit better. That’s the norm. Move on lol.

    How is this year's Mercedes a dog when it's 3rd fastest ?

Ham should try out a Williams and then see if he complains.

Williams was the car to have for '94 and '95. Upto 1 second a lap faster than everything else.

Well, as usual the "I hate Lewis" group takes a simple statement and can't comprehend it since they think EVERYONE is taking up for Lewis.
So, I'll ask it in more simple terms:
Do you think the current M-B F1 car is capable of winning a race?
If the answer is "yes", you do think the car is capable of winning a race, what driver do YOU think could accomplish this (since we know George and Lewis CAN'T). And please, no silly, extraordinary scenarios where all the Red Bulls and Ferraris wreck each other, etc...
If the answer is "no", then...it IS the car's fault.
    See how easy that was?

    I'm confused.
YOU "liked" my post (#174) and then you quote it and poke at it 5 posts later?
Now, you were speaking of "double standards"?

PS. I guess you should "unlike" it now that I've pointed out the silliness...

That is not what I said:: but the 10th place driver has some credibility as a driver; Keyword some
But for example, Latifi does not.

It's a dog compared to the cars he drove in previous years, and certainly by Mercedes standards.

Just compare Lewis's results to the W13 vs Russell's results to the W13. Under Russell, the car is the 3rd best car in the field....CONSISTENTLY!!!...after 8 races. Under Lewis, it's the 6th or 7th best car in the field.

In it's current state, all evidence suggests that the MB car is not competitive with Ferrari or Red Bull ... the car is not capable of winning a race.

BUT ... the car IS capable of finishing 4th (right behind the top two teams). In fact, over the first 8 races, Russell's average finish is very close to 4th (4.125, to be exact). Hamilton's average finish over these 8 races is closer to 6th (5.75, to be exact).

The conclusion couldn't be more obvious:
The "car" has proven, quite consistently, to be a 4th-place car. But as a "driver", Hamilton has fallen significantly behind what the car is capable of.
