Agreed....but this has been the same, to an extent, the same soap opera with Ferrari. They start off strong.....then dwindle down in the season....for over a decade....and counting.

The PU formula hasn't changed since 2014 and Ferrari is still having issues with it 8 years later....give me a break.

Pretending that Verstappen won his championship in an "inferior" car is ridiculous.

In 2021, Verstappen and Hamilton jousted all year long, and fought wheel-to-wheel all the time, on equal cars.

The Red Bull was certainly not under par compared to the Mercedes.

The proof is that they approached the final race with equal chance, not the sign that one car was inferior.

 

If you want to compare apples and apples, Lets go back to 2005. Schumacher gets a bad car. He finishes 3rd in the title fight (ignore the win in the 6 car race), barrichello 8th. At this point he was 1 year younger than Lewis is now (almost to the day). Fast forward a year to 2006, at 37 years old (same age as Lewis), Michael is fighting for the title again, in the 2nd fastest car.

You keep bringing age into it but Michael is 41 in 2010 on his comeback, suffered a neck injury and had driven zero races in the 3 years. Slightly different situation.

Max, over the season of 2021, was 1 race up against Lewis....I believe it was Max with 10 wins vs Lewis with 9 wins.

Had both taken each other out at Abu Dhabi, Max would have won due to number of race wins over the season compared to Lewis.

 

Max would of never won if there was contact that took them both out! FIA would of sided with the Golden God to F1, and Merc. They warned they were watching Max closely.

James Im not talking about THE FINISH that actually happened. Im saying that if there was ANY CONTACT that would of took out Max and the GOLDEN GOD . Max never would of won because of the Merc /God favoritism. They were watching Max closely. Oh but not The Golden God at the start of the race,, gaining an unfair advantage cutting track.
