Guy on a 308 fb page put these up. Apparently he had some involvement with the show back in the day and judging from the other pictures he posted, I have reason to believe him. I put the other pictures up here just to support the possible validity of the car, 38523.

Who knows but I thought it was worth showing and mentioning here.

    @nerofer what do you think?
Your list of confirmed numbers has 38527. Do you think that is an error and the 7 should be a 3 or do you think this is another car just coincidentally close in sequence on the assembly line?

It should be easy to see if 38523 is in the show because it has the interior combination Tan and Testa di Moro for the carpet. I haven't seen the episodes since then so I can't confirm.
Anyway I've seen pictures of this car because I have some technical details so it's driving somewhere...

    Interesting find, indeed, Dr Tommy.
I can't state anything with certainty, but I would tend to think along your second option: that it is 38523 indeed, and close to 38527 in sequence, because usually when two cars were ordered at the same time and in identical configuration (in that case, US market model GTSs) there was a pretty good chance that these would be taken together at the same time on the production line.
Of course, this is an opinion & guesswork.

Not to contradict you, friend, but not so easy, actually; not only would you need to be able to see the carpets, which, as far as I remember, is not very frequent; but there is also a POSSIBILITY that even if it was a car bought by the production and brought on the film set, it was actually never filmed in the show...
From what we know, they had one "main" car and one "spare" delivered for each season...BUT we do not know if each one was used for about half of the takes, OR if the "spare" was only a true "spare", that is, used sporadically, or even not at all, if the "main" was running admirably, like all 308s always do...
That being said, that makes only one season to watch again, so only 20 episodes...

    You're right, as usual !
i've just watch at the first trailer and we can see that the carpet was (at least at the beginning) Testa di Moro, so if they ordered all the time the same combo, 38523 matches the show...

and by the way, at 6:15, you can see how Tom take off the targa top... :p

Everytime I look at this guy's pics, I am reminded that we were born both on the same day (January 29th) but 15 years apart; he turned 77 this year, which means I turned 62. Where are the 80s gone, indeed?

not many people have seen or remember how Tom removes the top. so Tom’ish.
i was in my early 20’s (in dental school) when this show came on and everybody wanted to be Tom.
the opening credits are the coolest for a young guy to watch….holding a woman in the water looking at her azz and burning out in a Ferrari. wow.
    and yes, how time flies.

Aired for the first time on the french TV on Dec. 13th, 1981 (I turned 22 on Jan. 29th, 1982).
Oddly enough, it remains forever associated in my mind to my time in the Army: Aug. 1983 to Aug 1984, for my mandatory one year National Service. Can't exactly recall why, probably because we watched it during out time on watch...
A very good friend of these days, who had a tendency for long & slightly verbose stories has been called "Higgins" by us to this day.
