Nico Rosberg beat Lewis straight up despite being his designated #2, and Nico is nobody's GOAT. That's a fact, and it actually happened.

Except...your "significant" record hasn't happened...yet, and may not. So, as I type this, Lewis has the THIRD best winning percentage in history...PERIOD. Maybe he falls to fourth...we'll find out, but until we do, perhaps you shouldn't claim something as fact when it's a POSSIBLE future occurrence. This place is amazing...who knew Carnak the Magnificent was still alive and typing on FC.
You guys are the masters of what could have been, what might happen, what should have happened, who "most likely" would have done something...It's truly entertaining to watch grown men do PeeWee and Francis..."I know you are so what am I"

I just re-read my post. No where in my post does the word "challenge" appear, nor does a "I challenge you to dispute this, etc..." sentence.
But you decided to use the time honored "FUTURE" rebuttal...which, BTW, NEVER works because...none us (except you, I suppose) can see the FUTURE.:(
So, I guess it actually did go my way.

You quoted my post, where I said, in plain English, that Nico won the WDC. I agreed with you and you still argue.
And I'll further agree that Nico is on no one's GOAT list. And I'll further point out, for the 20th time, that I have NOT, even once, called LH the GOAT. I simply point out his very impressive career record and YOU guys try (unsuccessfully) to put words in MY mouth.

So, M-B built a better car, LH drove it clean, fast, and stayed out of trouble (unlike the 1994 Williams drivers) and for his effort, a bunch of benchracers on an internet forum decided he's not worthy and anyone could have done the same thing with the same equipment.
    Got it.

You're right! I should have written "IF he goes 4 more races without a win ..." :( WAIT ... i did write that

Right now, Hamilton is in 3rd place for most races won per races started.
IF he goes 4 more races without a win, he slips into 4th place (behind Clark). In NO WAY at all, is this a prediction for the outcome of future races.

Was that somehow unclear? Just a simple fact, not a prediction.
Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit, is it? :(

I don't think Max' Red Bull was inferior to Hamilton' Mercedes. Both cars won the same number of GPs before Abu Dhabi.

The stats is all that will be left in 30 or 50 years time.

The Mercedes era will be quoted like the Bugatti era, the Alfa Romeo era, the Ferrari era, McLaren, Williams, etc ...

Emotions die with those who carry them.

No Mercedes built a spaceship for SEVEN years in a row.
Hamilton was good enough to win 6 titles with them.
    Period.
But sorry I don’t know today if he deserves more than 100 poles and 100 wins in the end.
Like Vettel and his 13 wins in 2013 and his 4 championships.

Facts are that both Vettel and Hamilton deserved all the success they had.

But now they are older and unable to repeat that success.

What is so strange in that?

So Lewis suddenly became older in January 2022 ?
In fact our discussion is about statistics and how we have to look at them.
Always the same endless discussion as you perfectly know..
Part of the fun I have to admit.

We disagree on this particular point I know.
Max was already the best driver in 2021.

Ah, the Ferrari Chat way...when in doubt, insult.

You cleverly left out the last line of the your post that I quoted, which read:
"I simply added one more significant "record" to the list. Sorry it didn't go your way.:("

So...I think my reading comprehension is fine, so, what, exactly didn't go "my way"?
Jim Clark is actually in 3rd place in winning percentage?
    Nope, he's still 4th.
    Now I'm dying to know...
What didn't go my way, exactly?

I do know one thing. This post didn't go your way, huh.

    Everybody has a different watershed.

Maybe Hamilton lost his mojo relaxing during the inter-season, and never got back in the grove after that ?

    Maybe,
So why taking the risk to be paired with the young and non-winner Russell ?

Now that right there is INTERNET GOLD:
"But sorry I don't know today if he "DESERVES" more than 100 poles and 100 wins in the end"
    Unbelievable.
Hopefully, one day, you'll have a WDC that "deserves" his poles/wins.

Because it made sense when he signed his contract, probably leading to his retirement at the end of 2023.

Nobody could predict the car would be so troublesome, so difficult to set up and drive.

Unlike some drivers I could quote, Hamilton don't mind who is his team mate.

Sorry for the unintended disrespect of Michael Schumacher's name.

And I passed 17 about 48 years ago.

PS. The "wheelchair race" attempt at being funny was tasteless.

I wasn't aware that Lewis had teammate hire/fire capacity at M-B.

Lewis had an unassailable lead at Abu Dhabi 5 laps to go when Massi Red Flagged the race and gave the race to Min.

This is not winning in an inferior car. This is luck going your way; pure and simple.
