    Previous to rebuilding the engine I had it running great on 2 AVS2 carburetors.

    The reason for EFI was so I could run it flex fuel, with a fuel composition sensor. So if I'm on a longer drive I can fill it with 93 octane and the ecu automatically adjusts fueling and removes timing (and vice versa).

    Overall E85 is a better choice for 12.4-1 compression and iron heads so that's what I run it on primarily.

    So, automatic on the fly compensation was the main reason but there are other benefits, especially with running a crank trigger and coil on plug. (I used Ford coyote coils).

    Also can have some neat features, such as, I have the turn signal lights in the hood doubling as a shift light via ecu output.

    The trans is a TKO600. Originally with .64 overdrive but I changed it to .82.

    Thanks guys!

    Bought the 812 a few months ago and absolutely love it. It’s a stellar machine!

    After years of tracking street cars and converting street cars into track cars I decided to buy a Cup Car 2 years ago. I use for track days. Later this year I’m signed up to run 2 races in Yokohama Drivers Cup. Thunderhill is Sept. Sonoma in October.
