I've seen two references to the original color name used on this vehicle. The first link below indicates the car’s original color was Rosso Rubino while the second link indicates that it was Rosso Cordoba. Photos I have seen of both colors seem to show that Rosso Cordoba is the darker of the two. The reason I ask is that I have pre-ordered a rather expensive scale model of this car and would like to know if the model maker will be using the correct color.

Thank you in advance for any insights you can provide. Here are the links with photos of the car appearing in the first one:

Does the model have 3 or 6 carbs?

The model has not been produced yet but I saw a photo of a sample and it had 6 carbs.

All of the 275 GTB/Cs originally had 3 x 40 DFI 3 carbs with an air cleaner installed, including #09063. However, according to 275 GTB expert Dyke Ridgley, 09063 was converted to 6 carbs by Chinetti in the fall 0f 1966, so not as left the factory with 6 carbs.

The question is then, would you prefer the model to have 6 carbs, as it raced, or the original spec 3, as it left the factory?

That's fine since the model is supposed to represent the car as it was when it raced at Nassau in December 1966 driven by Pedro Rodriguez.

09063 had to be built back to 3 carbs for the red book factory certification by Classiche.

09063 could have gained Ferrari Classiche certification as a Ferrari of Historic Interest (White Book) with 6 carbs as it raced with them in period.

Has 09063 actually been converted back to 3 carbs to gain the Red Book?

Either Classiche are more strict on competition cars, or the fact that none of the 275 GTB/Cs as a model were built with 6 carbs prevented 09063's certification as such, as roadgoing/street 275 GTBs have been certified where they have been changed to 6 carbs with a note in the Red Book of the original 3 carburettor configuration.
