The 575 is almost impossible to get up on 4 jack stands because of the lift points and under tray. It’s a real pain because I’d like to give the suspension bits a good clean. More recently my alarm siren seems to have given up, the internal batteries must be fried as the alarm dash light doesn’t go out. I found a new part (Ferrari took the piss with the pricing, $1000!!! FFS) and of course the front bumper needs to come off to install. Grrrrr

All of this made me look for a lift solution. Unfortunately my ceiling height is just too low for a hoist and it would take up too much space anyway. I settled on the Quickjack system. It’s compact and portable. Took a bit of fiddling to get all the hydraulic connections right as well as bleed the system and was bloody nerve wracking watching the car go up the first time!! I’m happy with the clearance, I’ll be able to take the wheels off and get to the suspension quite easily now to give it a proper clean. Undertrays and bumper will come off easily too :)

Yep, it has 2 locking heights. Once you get it up to the desired height it locks into place and not held up by hydraulic pressure (you can then disconnect the hoses and leave the car suspended indefinitely)

Nice system Greg, my siren failed and I’m pretty sure I go one for around $300 but that was a while ago, obviously you’ve looked here [emoji106]

Yep, it’s this part here. It’s $1000, Eurospares list it as an order item ie not in stock. They’re hard to find, I bought mine through Scuderia parts, only place that seemed to have them in stock

Why not get your staff to fix the siren? Is the new one labelled "MRI parts"?

Very cool Greg! Get yourself a mechanics wheelie chair now also so it's easy to take wheels on and off and to get in there to clean. :)

    I’m very interested in this.

Which one did you buy, where and how much?

I’d want one to lift up the GTR, as well as Horse, so at least 1850kg.

Can you post more pics and also why you chose that brand?

(If it was just the most expensive I may have to do my own homework [emoji6][emoji6])

Silly signature here to annoy KIAI

I looked at the same thing about 3 years ago, however for not many dollars more you can buy a 4 poster.

There are a lot of YouTube videos of them.

Have a look at this link.

I just bought one too but from this website https://turbo-spec.com/products/quickjacks. It is fulfilled by the same Australian distributor but was cheaper and had better support than from the main site.
I bought the BL-7000 in order to lift my other car and swap snow tyres. Takes a bit to set up, but a great option for those (like me) that can't fit a proper hoist.

    Here

    https://www.quickjack.com.au/

I have the 5000SLX, can lift up to about 2300kg

I bought it a couple of weeks ago, they were on sale at about $2600. Not cheap but from the research I did, well engineered with very few negative reviews. I have no space for a fixed hoist so this was the best solution for me. Has hydraulic quick fit connectors, so pretty easy to put together. Each lift mechanism is about 38kg. One end is on wheels, so easy to move around the garage. The kit comes with everything you need including the hydraulic pump. Folds flat and doesn’t take up much space at all. There are rubber blocks in the kit of varying size that can be positioned on the lift mechanism to suit the jacking points

'Strewth that's pretty up there and yep,if you've the upward space a 2 or 4 post hoist is definitely the way to go.

That’s the point, if you have the space, a fixed hoist is a no brainer. If you don’t have the space, a fixed hoist isn’t a consideration at all

I rang the number on the Quickjack site and they put me through to a sales guy for Genesis Equipment. He was great, with good aftersales support. The freight company were idiots but the sales guy sorted that for me
