    I’m assuming, given these are in fact the factory prototypes, that they are of considerable significance to collectors. Very surprised they are being offered by Mecum.

    Factory sold about a dozen LF prototypes in 2015/2016.
    As said in the other thread about the upcoming MRY auctions, some went to USA, some to the Czech Republic, some to Austria, some to the UK.
    The ones coming up for sale at Mecum "belong" to an illustrious NY "art entrepreneur", originating from AUS.

    I have always wondered if they are allowed to use the Hermes name?
    Every dealer selling a car with orange leather advertises it as « Hermès », but in this case apparently it’s Tailor made with Hermès Leather? Then why don’t post a picture of the logo ?

    It isn't actually Hermes leather at all. I saw that car when it was new (and several times since) and the interior is actually alligator skin. And the owner didn't trust Ferrari when it was being built so insisted they send him a photo of the of the alligator!!
