    Ferrari has form on this.
Mario posted this photo in the F12 photos thread a while back and it shows two distinct pre-production styles for the F12 so we may yet be surprised by the PS.

The photo below shows also the different pre-production versions of the 812 SF being analyzed by the design team.

Remember these? Ferrari first look at SUV/FUV/Crossover many years ago and of course more than one version in full size form.

In the case of the FF Ferrari started by building a prototype designed by Giugiaro (shown on the left of the pictures) and afterwards made the one designed by Pininfarina that became the FF . We'll never know what determined Ferrari to drop the Giugiaro design and go with the Pininfarina's but by comparing the two designs no doubt it was the right choice.

Color me biased but Pininfarina’s FF design is far better than the hodgepodge SUV - FUV - crossover design above. I understand (and hope) the PF will look better.

My gosh I wish I had never seen this. I love the back end of that pre-production F12 so much, and realizing it can never be... This hit me in the feels. Are there any more pictures or information about this?

Only 23” available, nothing smaller? Calls for a harsh ride.

The wheels on my Cayenne TGT are 22” and the ride is perfectly fine. Besides, those wanting a pillow soft experience should probably opt for a Cullinan instead.

Met with the regional sales manager for my region a couple of days ago. He told me the Purosangue will be priced above the 812 and will not be large scale production - not limited but not made in great numbers. My understanding was it would be a premium product and V12 - he mentioned Cullinan to emphasize what he meant by premium relative to the others. I guess we’ll find out in September. Will be interesting to see if the name stays the same.

All correct, I just signed the dealer paperwork for mine. The news is it will be a run of 2 years as a V12, not limited numbers but small production. Then I assume it will turn into a V6 Hybrid for a larger production run over more years, this part is a guess, I only have confirmation about the first run.

Congratulations because you'll be the proud owner of the first ever Ferrari "SUV" and probably the last non hybrid with a V12 engine.

interesting that the PS appears to sound louder and clearer vs the 812A, but maybe just where they've been in the ref range

Depends on what gear and RPM they’re in. Also maybe effortless for the 812A to keep up with the PS ;)
