I hope you're incorrect. Ferrari's top speed was actually quite good in Canada. To the extent that I no longer feel they're sitting ducks to RB if/ when they can get a lead. Fingers crossed. Kevin
Wow! Are they saying that the Canadian, Austrian, French and Hungarian GPs are just minor subway stops between the main stops of Silverstone and Spa? Even from a historic perspective a bit of a stretch as France is the craddle of Grand Prix racing (hence the name) and Zeltweg has been on the calendar for many, many decades. Mind the Gap!
They faced a traction issue off turn 10. Faster but too far behind as Max accelerate away. Possibly Silverstone will help Ferrari’s strength. RedBull are fully sorted and appear strong at almost any circuit so far.
Russell: Copse won’t be flat in 2022 Mercedes F1 car at Silverstone George Russell doubts he will be able to go flat through Copse at Silverstone in the current Mercedes Formula 1 car due to the ongoing bouncing problem the team faces.

Well, yes. It is either our British arrogance OR just a statement of fact. Silverstone and Spa are great tracks. Zeltweg is a great colour for a Ferrari but a mere shadow of what it was as a track, and what a terrible name now. Paul Ricard? Awful. A mere shadow of what the French GP was, and could be Hungary? Better than France.
Agreed, but due to RB car frailty - Checo broke last race, Max could this time, even if I hope neither RB or Ferrari break!!!
So? Just another whinge from Crummy Car Team. Other teams will!!!! Racing is Life, Everything else is just waiting.
Apart from a change in tire pressure last race (?) and FIA gathering info on the bouncing g’s and frequencies, don’t think anything has changed. What HAS changed are some PU usage rules: “F1 teams will be allowed to swap power units under parc ferme conditions for newer versions that have been put into their pool. Previously, any specification of a car component that was replaced in parc ferme automatically required cars to start from the pitlane. This tweak will be welcome for those squads that are juggling only a few components in their engine pool and have introduced upgraded parts. Furthermore, the FIA has added a provision to the rules to allow temporary repairs of power units.”
Silverstone and Monza should both be eye opening. Wouldn’t a Ferrari win at Monza be great? I’ll never forget the 1988 GP of Italy.
When Senna reached the Pearly Gates of Heaven he asked St. Peter for a private audience with God Almighty. St. Peter replied that it would be highly unusual but that he would inform the Lord, God of the request. St. Peter reported back to Senna that The Almighty turned out to be a big GP fan and he would be thrilled to meet the legendary Senna. He conducted Senna into God’s presence. “Welcome to the Kingdom of Heaven, my child. My faithful servant Peter tells Me you have a question for Me. I would be honored to tell you anything you wish to know.” Senna, in Portuguese, of course, “Heavenly Father, Creator of Heaven and Earth, I am humbled to be in Your presence. If You please, kindly tell me, a mere mortal, why, in Your infinite wisdom and grace, You allowed Nigel Mansell to be infected with chicken pox before the Italian Grand Prix in 1988. Thank you, my Father.” With that, God, appearing a bit uncomfortable, looked over His right shoulder toward a gray eminence with a prominent nose, silver mane and dark glasses: “Enzo. You wanna take this one?”
Good for Ferrari and the championship but FIA looks even more awful compared to the last 8 years now.
Turns four and sixteen are the critical ones this weekend in view of what we saw in Montreal. If Ferrari can avoid loss of time in those they should do well. If they struggle there and in six and seven forget it. Then there is top speed, let's see if the new wing solves the deficit...
Agree The Paul Ricard is absolutely nowhere near the track it was in 1990( I was there for the Prost/Ferrari victory) This year my brother bought me a race ticket as a Christmas gift.. Really wish for a Ferrari victory because I have no hope with this sanitized track.
