    I've got a 430 Scuderia, which I love - but feel like I've experienced enough of. I'd love something else raw, and exciting - but not sure where to look. I've driven a 599 GTB, which sounded great, but didn't feel that raw...and a couple of 458s which felt too soft. A 458 Specaile is out of my budget of <$350k. F12? I hear they're raw-ish.

    They do seem more raw...and I've always loved them in everyway, I just found a Scud first. How do you think they compare? I've never driven a 360 or a CS.

    I wouldn’t say the F12 is that raw unless you are really on it which is then terrifying lol. It’s an amazing car but not sure it will have the rawness you are looking for.

    I think depending on budget u may be stuck on a scud
    Just straight pipe it, that may add to experience
    I cant really think of anything more raw aside from an f40 or f50

    That's what I've heard - it's pretty edgy in CT off. I've also heard it's nicer for longer trips, but still with that edge. I guess I should drive one and see if a) it's edgy b) if that's acceptable replacement for raw.

    Yep, F40/F50 is out of my budget at the moment. I'm heistant to modify it tbh, though it's got a switchable exhaust flap, so it's reasonably loud.

    the cs is much more visceral than the scud.
    the scud is faster than the cs.

    CS all the way. Civilized enough to cut you some slack. Dangerous enough to bite your ass if you insist on being stupid.

    I’ve never driven a scud (hint, hint), but those who have tell me the nanny controls let you go at F1 speeds, even if you are not Schumacher. You just need the balls to pin it and let the car bail you out. That is NOT the case on a Challenge Stradale or any F360 for that matter. Can you say “snap spin?”

    A Challenge Stradale was the first Twilight Zone car. It wasn’t a street car. It wasn’t a race car. It didn’t get much love when it first came out. But I predicted in the Ferrari Market Letter, a hush would come over the crowd when a CS crossed the block in 20 years. Imagine a completely irrational Ferrari. Imagine a Ferrari that didn’t make any sense. In two years, it will be 20 years.

    Ps The paint on my car was horrible. There were places were the undercoat didn’t have any paint. When I pointed this out to the FOH service manager, he shrugged his shoulders and said, “You don’t see the paint when you’re ahead”

    Different times. I miss that car. Rosa Scuderia with a stripe. The only new Ferrari I have ever owned, or probably will own.

    You screwed yourself by starting out with a great choice.....IMO you have no where to go except classics considering your budget. A Boxer being the #1 option. I would suggest a Ford GT, as visceral as 21st century cars get....and you have to have real driving skills to handle it properly. Can you get one on your budget? Probably yes for a driver grade car with 50k or so miles......which is awesome because they are built like tanks and you will lose very little financially driving it. I still can't believe Ford was able to design and build this.

    Who dont you buy a shifter Kart , being that an F40 / F50 / 288 GTO are out of your reach, or maybe you can take your $ 500,000 and buy that guys 355 thats for sale ? Raw went right out Ferraris window after the 355. May I also suggest a 275 GTB four cam ? Or maybe a 333 SP that you can trailer to the track , that will pucker your ******* up and will really make you feel " RAW"

    It is a jekyll and Hyde car. It can be completely docile and comfortable on long highway runs or try to rip your face off. I still wouldn’t say it’s “raw” though. My GT3 is definitely more raw. Drive one and decide if it’s for you

    I think the only place to go for more rawness would be a GT3 like above, nothing Ferrari can offer.

    I think your at the nexus of peak rawness/performance already. Anything more raw you have to take a step back in performance. Maybe superformance gt40?

    It's a good question. I have some other fast cars, and raw cars. I think I'm looking for a change of car, and more of a challenge.


    If you're in Vegas while I still have it, shout. I love the CS, and expect it to be more raw, but less fast. I should drive one and see how it feels.

    Ford GT; interesting idea - will research. Not sure if they're in my budget. Like the idea of it being a drivers car, something to learn.

    Well, I rally - if I still lived in Europe I'd probably be selling the Scud and getting an R5 car. But, they're not really available / practical to use here. Rallying in Nevada doesn't really exist.

    That's why I'm curious about it; I'm going to drive one on Tuesday at the dealer. Turns out they have two available at the mo. GT3, tbh, I never loved after tracking a few (991s) - they felt tool much like a tool, and too perfect / low-emotion, not enough edge...imho.

    Never really been a fan of the GT3; they felt too put-together.

    Interesting idea - will research!

    Other things that some folks suggest were a Noble (interesting, I'm digging), BAC Mono (seems a little too far, being single seat), and a Viper (shrug / lol). I'm hoping I'll like the F12.

    Make sure you drive the F12 in race with the windows down and keep the revs up. But pay attention lol

    That was my thought as well. Apart from going classic/vintage, you may already have the car that best scratches your itch.

    You could try for a GT3, but that may be more of the same, and probably not much faster in real life use. And you don’t like that they’re too clinical…

    I also have a SCUD and that's about as raw is it gets .. you mention an F12 I have one of them and it is definitely not raw but man is it a beast and sounds great... . I also would suggest a GT3 of course I like the manual transmission GT3 touring...that is easily within your budget..... I guess the CS is within your budget but not sure I Agree with it being better or more fun than the SCUD.. good luck with your decision

    Quick question. I have been told that if you leave the controls on, a SCUD will corner at F1 speeds even if you don't lift throttle. I don't think I have the balls to try that.
