Hmm don't really agree with that. Spain Lec already had a nice gap before Max spun Monaco fastest (ok Monaco is a one off track but regardless) Baku you could flip a coin Canada Leclerc had alternative setup because he started at the back, given how close Sainz ran Max IMO they had the faster car there. There is very little in it between the two. Ferrari lost a lot of races this year due to strategy or car breaking down. Red Bull had the faster race car in Miami, maybe here but Max only had the lead for about a lap before the car broke. Certainly on the saturdays the Ferrari is without question the fastest. Sunday is very 50/50. And Ferrari without question has the dumbest strategists.
Good luck buddy. You're going to fight: 1) 2 RedBull drivers and 1 of them is your equal. 2) Possibly Mercedes 3) The Ferrari pit wall strategies i.e. Monaco and now Silverstone 2022....with more to come.
Red Bull would not have thrown away a win for LEC in that situation, that’s for sure: Horner: “I suppose that the call I understood least was not to pit both their cars, or certainly Charles, for the soft tyre [at the safety car]." https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/horner-mercedes-let-ferrari-off-the-hook-with-hamilton-tyre-call/10332963/
Sainz also NOT giving an inch either. His words post race to the media made that very clear. I do think Merc is in the fight now, and certainly after France. Unless Ferrari takes drastic action now, it's game over. Last year we already had a fall out with Leclerc/Sainz/Ferrari. Now with a tittle on the line, it's going to get a lot worse. Whilst there is no immediate team he can fled to, Mercedes is a place soon...
Alright John on Twitter: "This view of Zhou Guanyu crash yesterday at silverstone is mental! #f1 #SilverstoneGP #Formula1 https://t.co/zO10uSAEpw" / Twitter Footage from the grandstand of Zhou's crash. Contains swearing so those with sensitive ears, stick a finger in them.

Even if they improve, Mercedes will not become a contender for the title: they are too far back, IMO. But Mercedes can be a spoiler and regularly take valuable points away from RB and SF.
Dysfunctinal is the word you are looking for. The Scuderia has been dysfunctional for ages, never an example of pit efficiency or sound strategy.
I know, but they have been like that for ages. I remember endurance races lost in the 60s and 70s for bad pit calls; cars running out of fuel, tyre mix-up, wrong signals, etc ... I think that's the reason for many failures, and the frustration endured by some drivers, some of them just slamming the door as they left. Even when they have valuable assets, they squander them with bad execution.
We are missing someone like Nigel Stepney ( of course before the sad sabotage episode).. And Ross Brawn on the pitwall either.
@lagunacc @pilotoCS One of a few mistakes Ferrari made as pointed out by Karun. Late reaction by Ferrari at pitting Leclerc first and not changing the wing. Tweet— Twitter API (@user) date

Max was out and couldnt be given a race penalty... Stewards gave most blame to lewis, but they didnt say max was blameless, unless you want to try argue the official report?. They officially said MAX caused it by turning into lewis, but lewis was at mostly at fault becuase he could have avoided it eg backed out again / turned more, like he HAD done 3 times before hand. .. So ruled Lewis was predominantly at fault. Also, using proper racing rules, pre 2018? and since start of this season ( so just remove the bull crap let them race seasons) and that incident is maxs fault, as we have since been told and seen eg at monaco, which funny enough was the same rules of engagement Toto/merc was using in lewis defence at Silverstone... Funny world.
It's 50/50 in my opinion. Both drivers could have avoided contact, but neither did. So it was a racing incident. At the time, many claimed it wasn't possible to overtake at Copse, and that was accepted like Gospel. There are in fact many examples of overtakings at that place. Some no later than yesterday !
If Zhou's crash had happened on any other lap than #1, he'd have been traveling much faster and his car would have likely flown right through/over that wimpy "catch fence"
There were similar discussions when F was backing Vettel. F is far from perfect, and they certainly screwed up CL's races before, but overall, the criticism for yesterday is overblown. CL was clear for a win until the SC. Had F pitted CL and he lost you'd criticize them for giving up track position with 12 laps to go, for not splitting their strategy, etc. If F stacked them and LH stayed out, he would have likely won. The MB was better on the mediums. If CL's your guy, have at it, but overall F was fair and made reasonable decisions, and got P1 in an epic race, on LH's home turf. As for the LH surrogates Sky team knowing better than Bino what he said to CL, bloody nonsense mate. In the same league as LH telling Piquet what he said and what he meant. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/jun/14/england-hungary-nations-league-match-report
