Safety wasn't an issue back then nor the tech in exotic materials ...until Senna's (Ratzenberger) crash at Imola where the FIA started making safety an issue.
Good, least we agree that in old any thing goes for max old selective do any thng to stop lewis rules said max caused the crash, but lewis was predominantly at fault. Surely you can see the conflict in that statement lol, and in todays normal treat every one equal rules max is completely at fault.. All good... Still dont agree that you think lewis deserves racial abuse because of a crash, that max caused. Am disgusted you even think racial abuse is even acceptable.
Neither of you or myself are fluent in Brazilian Portuguese dialect and I'm not jumping on the British Media bandwagon whom also know nothing of the Brazilian Portuguese dialect. Everyone on that bandwagon is pushing a narrative. I am in agreement with Piquet's apologetic statement. Have you read it??

Seems pretty normal to me. We just had a similar pass in the same place involving one of the same drivers so it's natural to compare. The difference was that Max gave Lewis more room last year than Charles gave him this year, but this year Lewis actually managed to hit the apex so there was no contact.
The fact that they’ve done it to him so many times is why there has been such a reaction. It happening on a weekend when Red Bull are suffering, Ferrari are leading the race, and wasting time trying to figure out what to do with both cars is the icing on the cake. Them spending all of that time deliberating allowed Hamilton to get himself in the mix and they forced their own hand.
Just look at Binotto's proud look. Sign Image Unavailable, Please Login of an effective and involved team principal
Just speculation, but I wonder how fast Charles would have been without the end plate damage? Fast as Max without damage ?
Compare Perez's strat call vs Leclerc's strat call. Both drivers had front wing damage early in the race. Who made the right call over the course of the race??? I know Perez ain't better than Leclerc. Food for thought.
First and foremost, congratulations to Carlos Sainz. He capitalized on every advantage. Good for him. That being said, without the first lap crash, Max would have won the racing going away. Ferrari strategy needs help. I'm a Ferrari fan.
The word Piquet used can be misinterpreted if you want. But reality is this Brazilians are well known for "picking on people" using "theoretically" offensive words Its the culture down there to give each other a hard time Typically the offensive word is used in the diminutive version Obese people are called "gordinhos" or little fatties White skinned people are picked on by calling them "brankelos" Even the great soccer player Garrincha from the 50s was referred to as "perna torta" for his croocked legs The word Piquet used is actually a word used to indicate many things...that guy over there, that person in general, its the equivalent of "one" as in "one could assume this car is not drivable" So in the above sense it may not have been intended to offend Lewis but rather a bad choice of local slang . i am not defending Piquet I have posted a comment earlier stating that he is known for his faul mouth in Brazil so I am not surprised by his poor selection of words In Brazil the word "neguinho" is often used but 99% of the time is applied to brown or black skinned kids, which is/are a very large percentage if the population down there It would have been ok if he applies it to a Brazilian young man he knew or had acquaintance with or a local friendship but it was totally innapropriate to apply it to Lewis Hamilton Sorry for the long post
Understood. I posted the same video with Piquet but this time he was referring to both Risbergs(Keke and Nico) and Piquet used the same word that he used for Lewis................yet no "outcry" from the British media or not one peep from both Rosbergs. Piquet even used a phrase to describe Nico when he was with Mercedes and Lewis as "he took it up the ass" which some or most would consider a homophobic connotation but we all know what Piquet meant by using that phrase. Yet no outcry from the British media or any of the Rosbergs. Now me myself, I'm pretty thick skinned so if Piquet was describing me and used that same "racial slur" or that same "homophobic connotation" ........I wouldn't be bothered by it or take it to social media or if my agent came up to me and said "Hey, Piquet said "THIS" about you!!!"......I would be not be bothered by it one bit. That's why I don't trust the British media or anything or anyone trying to push this "racial slur" against Lewus Hamilton when it involves Nelson Piquet and the Brazilian Portuguese dialect.
"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me" goes the saying. It's a media-invented argument; they love to stir up the **** ! I have great respect for Nelson Piquet as a driver.
IDIOT move by Ferrari leaving Charles out to dry. A well managed race should have been 1-2 Ferrari. I was disgusted to see the Princess Lulu Show was brought back to the air and maxxed out in 8th gear for the ENTIRE WEEKEND BROADCAST, but at least proud the old girl couldn't pull P1. Lulu has no more excuses at this point, the car can easily win, which sucks....unless George can stomp him.
