Will do, but the dealership won't get mad or anything right?
It’s a promotion for them. Why would they get mad? Mine is at stage 30 which is painting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I am now at Status 40 (Body Work Inserted) and showing delivery data as 7/7/22, once it arrives I will be immediately sending it to have the PPF done
Looks like stage 40 as well. Mine was also at stage 40 now, but no pics yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Here is recent data on SF90 Stradale timing for a USA order: January 30, 2022 10 Red +68 days April 8, 2022 ‘Final’ photo on assembly line appeared in My Ferrari app. +32 days (+100 days from 10 Red) May 10, 2022 Arrived at port in New Jersey +44 days (+144 days from 10 Red) June 23, 2022 Arrived at dealer 144 days from 10 Red to Dealer (still waiting to take delivery)
My SF90 has been at stage 40 for 2 weeks now. Sounds pretty odd to me unless they’re missing some parts to move forward. Anyone else expedite this stall in their production process? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mine is also still stuck at stage 40, delivery date now showing 12th July , was 7th July but still seems optimistic
It looks like they had some sort of semi-public event at the factory, I wonder if they shut down lines for that. Also I believe the status reported in MODIS isn't real time, so it may say you're at stage 40 but you may be beyond that. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/yesterday-at-the-factory-in-maranello.661183/#post-148607082
That may explain it. Yesterday my dealer told me that status just changed to 50. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
oh man that's great, you might make it out before the factory shutdown. Meanwhile I'm still stuck at 10G (for 7 months now). Losing patience with this one.
That’s crazy. I think you would have every right to demand an explanation as to why your car has been approved by the entire chain of command has been sitting there for 7 months without progress. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I finally figured out one piece of the puzzle a few weeks ago. They were unhappy with the way the tailor made leather they proposed was applying to the CF racing seats. It sounds like they were struggling with it for months (at least since January) without saying anything, then finally decided to reach out and give me the option of proceeding as is or they proposed an alternate leather. I asked for more photos, that process took more time, then eventually concluded that the seats looked fine and asked them to proceed. That was a couple of weeks ago. As to why I'm still stuck at 10G, who knows. I told them to let me know if there are any other issues but haven't heard anything. My guess is best case I go 10R after the factory break and this thing shows up sometime in 2023. If there was another brand that had a comparable competing product I would've aborted this process months ago.
That explains the delay in large part, but doesn’t help as to why their communication was so spotty about the delays and alternative options. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Totally agreed. I suspect Ferrari is so inundated with orders they don't really need to sweat a single TM client running behind schedule. The reality is if I walked away they'd have a customer for my car in no time.
That maybe true on a singular level, but if a bunch of clients like u decide to walk then it starts an avalanche they won’t b able to stop or fix. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Totally agreed, which was part of why I created this thread - I wanted to see how unique or common my experience is. My sense is most of the SF90 waiters haven't had much communication, we've all experienced delays, and it looks like I'm getting the shorter end of the stick than most.
Yesterday by SF90S finally arrived at my dealer in London , now it’s off to elite for the PPF and will be ready for me to collect in 1 week, can’t wait and will get some good pics posted after
