Some info from Mr Andreas Birner: '' Surprisingly, the first batch of Purosangues will indeed feature a 12-cylinder engine which makes it likely to have around 800 hp. This „first edition“ of Ferrari‘s SUV is regarded by the Factory as a limited edition model and thus will be allocated to their highest ranking clients only, internally called „top clients“ (in Ferrari‘s ranking, a „top client“ even supersedes a „VIP client“!). The car will feature four doors (although back in 2017, Enrico Galliera, Ferrari‘s Chief Marketing & Commercial Officer, still said in an interview „We will never build a four-door!“…) and will have a sticker price of 350.000 € plus VAT, not including any of the numerous options, of course. This means the first edition Purosangue will easily be a 500.000 € car including VAT and some options. Allegedly Ferrari will later launch another version of the Purosangue which will be available to a wider range of clients. One can only assume that this variant will feature either the V6 hybrid system known from the 296 GTB, or be Ferrari‘s first full electric car that has been officially announced for 2025.
What's odd about that statement is that I got an allocation but I don't consider myself a top client, if I was I should have got an 812c.
So the renders/spy shots suggest that the 'fat Lusso' idea has been developed. It appears to lack the utility of an SUV, and the grace of a sports car. I really don't know what it brings to the party. I will be spending my $500,000 on something else
It’s a good idea to create some FOMO for the V12s if all you want to do is sell them but it sends the wrong message that this is somehow a desirable Ferrari. Making it limited puts it right up there with Icona etc. when it lacks the essence of the limited cars in every subjective way.
Personally I wouldn't waste to much time on the new render. Its looks solely based on the leaked images with the gaps filled in. The Proportions are well off and don't even fit with the leaked images. It also looks very different to the latest camoed final/near final version of the car being road tested currently
Was out today and when I parked I saw the BMW X6 & X2 basically side by side photo below I think the X2 is the basic size of the Purosangues (NOT THE DESIGN) the basic overall size. Little lower and a little longer at the front to fit the V12 but in essence the X2 represents the overall size of the Purosangues really well. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The X2 is a really compact car at 4.36 metres. Can't recall if PS dimensions have been covered here but it will be a big car. Lusso is at 4.92 m long.
As I said the front will be longer to cover the V12. The new camo cars are alot smaller. I posted the below images a few days ago, other than the front being longer that is very much X2 size maybe a little bigger. Ferrari are not going to make a massive SUV. They are targeting more of a FUV concept. They don't care about making an off road SUV. Its ride height will be enough to get up the rough drive way to the cabin safely etc. But at the end of the day they want Performance in a new type of packaging to sell in that new market segment with as little compromise as possible. 7500 cars. why do you want to create a PS with a hybrid V6 ??? PS will be in V 12 and Full electric version. Nothing more !!!
Dimensions close to the Lusso is what @day355 told us. And the actual size is there in the camo cars, not an X2 size by miles!
lol READ "X2 size maybe a little bigger and longer in the front to fit the V12" Lusso 1383 vs X2 1526 Height (It's an SUV/FUV so its going to be higher than the lusso) Lusso 1980 vs X2 1824 Width (Its going to be a little bigger than an X2 so these number would be closer) Lusso 4922 vs X2 4360 Length ( Front will be bigger. Bigger easily is 300 - 500mm when we go from the X2's turbocharged four-cylinder to a Ferrari V12) That means my comparison with the quote size changes is correct.
Wonder if the car will have a front and rear lift to prevent bottoming out for those drives up the dirt road to the cabin Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
160 mm wider and nearly 600 mm longer, seriously, in terms of cars you're talking several sizes bigger, not just "a little". I don't get why you chose an X2 for comparison, any mid size SUV or crossover would have been a closer match and we wouldn't be here arguing over this.
Then a comparison with the X5 in the same pic would have been more appropriate. The point is that the X2 is definitely smaller. The PS will probably have a similar footprint than a Lusso (or X5 from 2014 as in the pic) but with a heigh somewhere in between.
Since thee final dimensions of the Purosangue are unknown at this time, we can only try to guess them. IMO the length and width of Purosangue should be close to those of the Lusso. Considering that the Purosangue cabin will have an interior height greater than that of the Lusso, my prediction is that its maximum height will be around 1500 mm. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have it on good authority from anonymous sources that the PS is going to be exactly the same dimensions as the BMW X2 - except longer and wider. Also maybe shorter or closer to the same height. That part is a little fuzzy. But otherwise exactly the same-only different. [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
The X5 is a tank and is bigger than a lusso and its shape is more like a bulky jeep vs the X2 that general shape looks alot closer to Ferrari's current FUV mute. Most people are already calling Ferrari's SUV an FUV or even a car/crossover the X5 is an SUV. so that is why I choose the X2 with some differences as a comparison.
