    LMAO

I have never written one word about Piquet. You are indeed completely delusional.

Further, if Hamilton was driving too fast to even make a vague gesture toward the apex at his right ... while he was attempting to overtake ... at a turn he was very familiar with ... he needs to hang-up his racing career straight away!

This is beyond silly at this point.

Once more (not that you will ever understand): The car AHEAD needs to leave room on-track, at apex, for an ALONGSIDE driver. FULL STOP. This is exactly what Verstappen did. There's no other obligation, for the car in the lead. Period. Any resulting contact, is the fault of the driver trying to overtake.

For example: The driver AHEAD is under no obligation to straight-line the turn, simply because the driver ALONGSIDE fails to turn the wheel, at all !!

    I know, I know: " ... but, don't you know how fast they were going? It's not Hamilton's fault!!" LMAO :D :D

Keep drinking your Hamilton kool-aide. Any further discussion with you is pointless.

Once again ... Hamilton brought the past into the present, not us. Try to keep up.

Nothing at all in my comment mentions the apex. Stop seeing things that dont exist, futher more, if a 7 time champ needs to hang up his boots for missing an apex by a yard ( that has no requirement for drivers to hit, apart from inside your head)
Should max hide in embarrassment after completely missing a corner? While attacking down the inside and only didnt crash because em yeah Lewis..?

    Give your head a wobble...

Keep your personal insults to your self also.
Ive been told its a bannable offensive directly from a mod in my inbox, so i hope the same level of consistency is applied.

Hamilton wants to continue his racing career ... on social media? That's fine :)

Meanwhile, we'll continue watching Verstappen and Leclerc race ... on track :D

Per your rules, Perez was at fault for contact with Russell this weekend. You're way, way off base here.

    Yep.

While attempting to overtake: not turning when you're required to turn, is as dangerous as turning when you're required to go straight!!

Those unfamiliar with racing might see the car ahead "turning into" the alongside car attempting to "overtake". What these newbs fail to understand is this thing called the "racing line" (turning toward apex to maximizing radius & exit speed). YES, for the car ahead the "racing line" needs to be ADJUSTED to accommodate a car alongside ... the car ahead needs to leave enough room at apex, on-track, for the car alongside.

The car ahead is NOT entitled to a "standard" racing line if there's a car alongside, but he IS entitled to this "adjusted" racing line (car's width at apex). IF the car alongside encroaches on the "adjusted" racing line in his attempt to overtake, THEN any resulting contact is the fault of the car overtaking.

In other words: the "accommodation" required by the car ahead starts and stops with leaving a car's width at apex. Period. That's his "reward" for being in front :)

All you need to do, is look at Hamilton's trajectory and ask: was he encroaching on the "adjusted" racing line that the ahead driver was entitled to? And YES, that encroachment can absolutely happen by going straight, when required to turn!

(and yes ... this simple rule still applies if both cars are going really fast, it still applies if the car ahead is on your left while you're both turning right, it still applies if your first name is Lewis, etc etc)
