    790km today doing a return trip to the new possible beach house.

    First thing we decided was “we will need an aircraft”.

    Endless roadworks, truck convoys, dickheads who sit on 90 in a 110 zone and then as soon as you get to an overtaking lane speed up to 120, and then worrying about cops / cameras every time you actually do overtake?

    **** that.

    PS a week is not long enough in the Centre - Uluru, Kata Jutu, Kings Canyon are all amazing in their own ways; while they will look fabulous from the air, you really need to walk through to get the spirit of the place (Kata Jutu was like Picnic at Hanging Rock for me - would not have been the least surprised to walk to walk through a crevice in the rock and end up in another universe...)
    Flying is definiteley the way to go in NT SA - big bits of nothing in between the amazing places.
