Just saw this Adrian - sending best wishes to Ethan for a quick recovery!
Thanks Karen, I’ll forward your kind regards, he’s still waiting for results of the CT scan, he sounds in good spirits apart from being really bored
Now I know what to say when my car goes up for sale in a couple of weeks for $500k! Picked it up today - finally - after getting everything possible done ready for sale. Service. Fixed and painted buttresses, painted rear bumper, new front bonnet seal, washer bottle (after a 4 month search) etc. etc. Switched the steering wheel back to the awful original 355 one... I'm going to spend a month enjoying it / shaking it down seeing I've only done about 2500km in the last two years. Also got an email from Lotus today which makes me think I won't see the new car until Dec / Jan so no hurry.
That's the trouble when you sell a car or house............you spend a fortune fixing it all up before the sale lol. Didn't fix any of this crap while you owned it to make the experience/car/home nicer for yourself lol But happy to spend $5K on it in the event you will re-coupe that money or make it easier to sell when it's sale time lol My in-laws did the same. They lived in a tidy small 3 bedroom house, spent $30K on new kitchen, paint, carpets and small little jobs the Father in-law has been wanting to do for years to try and tidy the place up to sell lol Didn't re-coupe that money or time unfortunately, but they sold the house eventually in the end for $50K less than their original asking price lol.
Haha! I'm sure you're right, Pap. But when I sell something I want to be comfortable when I tell a potential buyer that it's actually pretty good. That way if they come here and try to talk me down to a silly price I can simply inform them that they are a wanker and send them on their way in good conscience. More to the point, it's a shame how often sellers misrepresent their car. Not just private sellers, either. Ask Simon...
Was it misrepresented? That's not my understanding. He's the luckiest guy around to get that result imo Sig www.pless.com.au/mechanics.htm
