Does anyone have a photo of the ABS relays (under the cover on the right front inner fender) on an ABS-equipped Mondial? I ask because I'm going to add some (unrelated) relays to my (non-ABS) car, and in the interest of making my relay mod look vaguely original, I actually bought a 131945 relay bracket from an ABS car. But my non-ABS car doesn't have the holes or bosses or anything in the inner fender, so I don't know where exactly to install it to replicate the factory installation of the additional relays on the ABS cars. Thanks!
Not silly at all. I just googled it and found this: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/relay-question-1988-mondial-3-2.285955/ Let me know if you need any more info. I’ll do my best to help. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Wow, thanks; you’re evidently a better googler than I am! But dang, that’s mounted further aft than I was imagining, such that it will probably clash with the mileage counter device for the “Service due” light on my non-ABS car.
Doing pretty well! Not getting driven as much as I might like, but that's true of the household's four other cars as well, since we've been working (mostly) from home for as long as I've owned the Mondial. Radiator has been weeping around one of the fan brackets as long as I've owned it, and I finally decided a couple weeks ago to park the car for a few weeks to deal with that, and a number of "while-you're-in-there" items, including the aforementioned relay mod(s) and changing ALL the fluids. Earlier this year I undid an intermediate owner's (David?) aftermarket battery cutoff switch + undersized ground cable + 'backwards' marine battery, but still need to fabricate a replacement for the battery cover that was lost (presumably) as a result of that goofy battery grounding mod. And I decided that I didn't like the ergonomics of trying to find the window switches in the dark without taking my eyes off the road, so I replaced the power locking switch in the driver's door armrest with a (dimensionally identical!) 348 window switch, wired (effectively) in parallel with the stock switch in the center console—I'm pretty proud of that one, but it took an embarrassing amount of labor to implement it to my satisfaction (so much so that I still haven't been motivated to finish the job by adding a hidden power locking switch under the dash to replace the functionality of the deleted stock one)!
