100% - My mates with Challenge cars get "bent over" for every item, but there is something about running a Ferrari as a track car IMO
Oh yes, ripping on a track with a race Ferrari is the best. But, as with everything, you need to pay to play.
I did it for awhile but simply can't justify it anymore, it gets expensive very fast! I occasionaly still do track days but usually with a porsche or a hot hatch, cheap(er) and still fun!
Personally I imagine it will be exactly the same but without the boat anchor livery and a dozen more HP. And they’ll find a way to include the lifter with the AF suspension.
Think 458 vs 458 Speciale and 488 vs 488 Pista - I imagine similar. We will know more once the SF90 'VS" is known I assume.
Unlikely, the Multimatic dampers are not compatible by design. My guess is that it will have more power and an even more hard core set-up, plus some eight saving. If it materialises at all, that is...
versione speciale in Italian. It’s a special edition or series of a production model. They are the final version of a series and are usually more track focused. Examples: 360 had the Challenge Stradale F430 had the Scuderia and 16M 458 had the Speciale 488 the Pista F12 the TDF 812 the Competezione
In my view the number of "new" models confirmed in Capital Markets Day makes the continuation of the VS line far more likely.
it was the same with 488 Pista... to get it easier if already a 488 runs on your name. i ordered a 296GTS. i hope for a 296VS without Hybrid. if 296GT3, 296Challenge will be without Hybrid.? - i guess a VS will be also without.
GT3 is about regulations - but, would they present a VS with less hp than the regular car? Or would they be able to extract more than 830 hp without electric help? To me both options are unlikely.
would less people buy it if it gets 670 pure petrol hp? Porsche GT3 and 4 & RS´s are way hotter as 296 at the moment - why? because pure petrol; even NA. the benchmark: 992 GT3 RS comes out at 17.Aug.2022 the run for it will be like for a 812C... i do know some things about it; it will be a blast! hopefully F goes as crazy and hardcore as we all wish for the 296VS.
Absolutely no way the VS dumps the hybrid. It’s HAS to have more power, and it has to celebrate Ferraris new electrification direction. They can’t put out a pinnacle limited series on their first mainstream hybrid platform removing the battery. Of course I’d love it if they did. But I just don’t see it remotely viable.
Very interested in knowing more about this August 17th date for the gt3rs......... where did that come from??? thx
This thread is funny. The VS 296 will have less weight, more power, more aero, and a different suspension set up. This is the formula. We don’t know when it will be released. Dealers don’t even have their 296 demos yet. Chill…..
Really? I think the 296VS is as likely as a SF90VS (in my opinion, none, that's what the AF option is all about, get the VS now..not limited, hammerhead stripe is optional)... I am thinking the 296 family will be around for many years (5 model years is what I expect, 2022-2026), if there is a VS, probably will be 3+ years before it appears...
This is all over the place, week 33 is official sale start for the Gt3RS, my car should arrive in december (Switzerland)
