Fully agree re: reviews. Compliance has made it almost not worthwhile unless you have a lot of money. We know a lot of great people in the industry but have also met our share of crooks including this guy who was one of the nicest you could meet - my wife normally has a good nose for bullsh@t given she came from that other snakepit, Lawyers.

 

As it worked out Callum picked it up on his way back from Bris so all good,nobodys out of whack.

 

It's the really nice ones that you need to keep your wits about the most!

Don't get me started on Lawyers - if only there was a Royal Commission in that professional. FP and Cosmetic surgeons will come out as saints. LOL

 

The ones that need to be legislated and controled are the liquidators that is the last cowboy Pro at there .

 

The cosmetic cowboys refer to themselves as “surgeons”, it’s insulting to the Fellows of the various Royal Colleges that actually put in the hard work to become specialists. AHPRA is in the process of putting a stop to this. Gaining a Fellowship of a Royal College = sacrificing some of the best years of your life and working in a teaching hospital like a dog, putting Medicine ahead of everything else in your life. These guys don’t have any formal training. They deserve everything that is about to come their way.

 

I went to a financial planner when I was an intern, sucked me into a super fund with high fees and life insurance/income protection again with ridiculous fees. Best thing I did was cut my losses a few years later and sort it all out myself

Property be it for investment or the best residential property one can afford (NO capital gain tax)
And lending as I do for cash flow , no capital gain ......but income .....................lots of it .

 

Some of them ARE fellows. but dollars trump ethics quite often...

 

Same here, young graduate, paid trailing commissions for years and returns pretty much all went in fees... I couldn’t ‘cut my losses’ for quite some time as the withdrawal penalties would have been most of the balance (ie the money I’d actually paid in)

No they’re not. Cosmetic Surgeons are NOT Fellows of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. They all have a basic medical degree

What I meant was there ARE some Fellows who spend most of their time (and derive most of their revenue) from cosmetic surgery.
