That’s called plastic surgery and they are highly trained. So what if that’s what they earn a living from? The issue is these Cosmetic guys give the impression to Joe Public that they’re surgeons, they’re not. They “operate” in basic offices and when things go bad, they go very bad. They’re not under the same scrutiny as a surgeon operating in a licensed hospital
Ah ok, I suppose there is a fine line with a Jewish/Muslim mother asking for a labioplasty on her daughter vs cliterectomy. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. There are plenty of practitioners sympathetic to both religions that will do FGM
yep, still happens though, all you need is a parent and Medico on the same wavelength. I used to see it all the time when we had a practice in Auburn, vast majority were African Muslims
I thought that was dealt with over ten years ago? BTW, I have never referred to myself as a surgeon (too proud). I looked at cosmetic surgery in the nineties - hated the whole industry. Everyone's a kook, including some of the Plastics. I've been very happy placing myself somewhere between a Plastics and a Derm, without mowing the grass of either, and refer when necessary. I have a good relationship with all of them on the Gold Coast. Reconstructing a defect on the face after a large cancer has been excised can take over an hour, and a plastic surgeon will charge about $2K out of pocket for the patient (I charge way less than that). In 45 minutes, he can perform a BAM and gouge $6K (for, let's face it, a pretty simple procedure). The point is, most plastic surgeons are quite happy to slough off the simple stuff. If there weren't skin cancer clinics, the system (both public and private) would be overwhelmed, patients would fall through the cracks, and you'd be doing a lot more PET scans.
I looked at putting a registered OT 12 years ago - about $1.25M and $100,000 per annum to run. The fuching a/c was $500K! I use a sterile technique, but technically it's an aseptic theatre - pretty much like the minor ops theatre off an ED.
I won't put it up....but how clever is that cartoon character /series which highlights good vs evil re these acts ..
Sheez. Much like our power bills, whenever we start a new practice, local power station usually needs an upgrade to cope with the amount of energy required to run a CT scanner. It’s big time electricity
I did read your post but actually I couldn't really understand what you were saying. Particularly in regard to Financial Planners. But it seemed centered around money. Interesting, you can't in Victoria sell a car on commission, you can in NSW. With regards to Simon's car, I'm not 100% what the back story is, and it probably doesn't matter much, as long as the car ends up with the correct final drive in the end, which it looks like it will. What a tremendous result. The comment about printing Money was to get a rise out of Karen
I didn't know about the incorrect reconditioned differential in Melbourne. I wonder if the owner erroneously assumed it would be the "correct" ratio? When we had our discussion, I was referring to the white car I looked at, possible confusion? Is it possible instead of being reconditioned, the job simply consisted of a 400A crownwheel and pinion being installed?
Something is not right about this differential issue. There's multiple people involved, the owner, the selling dealer, the differential rebuilder, the mechanic who installed it and no one knew? Whom knew? Whom didn't?
