The tdf sound is insane. Comparable to the FXXK and 599XX. The last special series V12 with a proper sound. The Competizione sounds ok but nothing compared to the tdf. If the 812 successor is meant to be even quieter that’s rather depressing
Back catalog is the only catalog for me going forward...for a list of reasons, this being one of many...
Count on it, there can be no other way, new models first produced from 2024 will be "next level" quiet, I would think the F167 will be using 'hot tubes' to pipe engine sounds into the cabin...
Indeed. For the "hardcore", those who want noise noise noise, there are always Novitec, Fabspeed, Capristo, Boden and many more. Any Ferrari fitted with an aftermarket exhaust system becomes louder, "enriched" with pops, crackles, even backfires...but de gustibus...
And it would be a shame and disappointing to have to buy a new ferrari only to fit an aftermarket part to the car for it to sound good…
Thing is that they may not make them at all. Unless there is an underground community, but how can you trust the quality of such shady products? The laws will apply to all cars. Dura lex, sed lex.
Still some left. Beg borrow or steal, get one while you can. I’m surprised by the number of tdf up for sale in the USA. People swapping them for the Competizione?
I’d never swap my tdf for an 812C. It’s way more special imo. Although the 812C looks great and super aggressive and will no doubt be highly sought after, all dealers &’automotive consultants I spoke to are all in agreement that the Tdf is a far more special car to have and would choose it over the Comp if they had to pick one long term.
TDF? More rare, more special, better looking, real raw and hardcore, no GPF, real music. Marcel Massini

i sat in a roma last week, so much tech, very confining with large middle tunnel separating the seats. perhaps i'm getting old but i much prefer the classic open interior styling of the older ferraris. visually i like the 308 switches over the plastic buttons of the 328. love the 6 speeds! but then i like the convenience and reliability of my 458 and F12 to daily drive. i think the sweet spot is blend of tech with analog. much like what porsche does with Touring series. modern reliability but throw in retro tech like manual gearbox, tactile switches/buttons instead of touchscreens, analog tachometers.
Touch screen sans any control for ac and some basic multimedia operation should be banned in any vehicle and in sportscar it should be penalized by law. In Ferrari however... wake up with a horse head in a bed.
