Did I make that claim? No. Do I care? No. Is most discussed proof of most loved (or whatever the claim is supposed to be)? No. Without delving into the actual politics of it (and I stress not to actually discuss these, it's seriously just an example of people being talked about), take the current and last 2 presidents of the USA. All discussed a LOT, but is all or even 50% of the discussion in admiration? Far from it. He's a polarizing figure. Some love him, others don't. Are you THAT surprised that someone that has dominated the sport over the last 7 years is talked about a lot in an F1 forum? Especially when his fans bring up the most trivial things that his ''haters'' disagree with? When the same driver makes daft statement after daft statement that is bound to cause discussion? Any of this **** proves absolutely nothing in regards of his popularity here or not.
I think ktu is trying to match Hamilton's number of championships with number of Ferrari Chat bans. Right now, he or she is tied with Rosberg. Six more to go!
They traded Russell in to give Hamilton some podiums. Lulus boo boos are to emotional even for his lovers.
George Russell deserves more respect, 2022 so far: QUALIFYING Hamilton 5-6 Russell Best result: Hamilton 4th, Russell 4th Q3 appearances: Hamilton 9-9 Russell SPRINTS Hamilton 0-2 Russell RACE DAY Hamilton 4-7 Russell Best result: Hamilton 3rd, Russell 3rd Podiums: Hamilton 4-3 Russell Points: Hamilton 109-128 Russell
I think Russell already gets the respect he deserves. What he needs is a better car than this year's Merc to show his talent.
From LH recent interview - "I wouldn't say it's been tough. It's been pleasant," said Hamilton on working "incredibly well" with Russell. "I really think that, whether or not I'm here, he has all the qualities to help take this team forwards in the future and lead them to success."
I asked my Brazilian friends what they thought. They said the word he used was not bad in of itself. But In context? It was like this: “You know, Max, Charles, Ricardo, the Negro fudge packer, Nico, and Vettel.” you should listen to the podcast
Yeah, that's the way YOU see it. I think you are confusing mentioning with reacting. I mentioned the Piquet/Hamilton jibe because it's on this forum, but I don't have an opinion about it. People are increasingly expected to have an opinion on everything these days, aren't they?
I’m all about free speech. So I disagree with Brazilian courts. That said, you won’t find me showing up outside with a sign #FreePiquet Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm not trying to be holier than thou. I admit, during the 80s, when I was a youngster, I made homophobic remarks. That's a fact. That said, I believe in circa 2022 - F1 champions shouldn't call Schumacher a Nazi, Ocon a Surrender Monkey, Riccardo a Wop, Zhou a Chink, Sergio a Wetback, Carlos a (bunch of sticks), and Russel a Cracker in interviews. For some, that is asking too much, and I'm a troll. I'm glad FIA, F1, Scuderia Ferrari, and every driver agrees with me. That does gives me solace.
Are you making a comparison with the words "you used to define F1 drivers of what you think people would use of those F1 drivers" and try to compare it to what Nelson Piquet used??
Why? Call anybody anythng, who gives a crap. Remember, "Sticks and Stones WILL break my bones, but words will NEVER hurt me." But, Words may get you PUNCHED in the face and that is why you THINK before you call somebody something.
Hey all good, you don't have to agree with the following folks: "The comments made towards Lewis should not be tolerated" Leclerc “I think it shows that there’s still education needed, In the world we live in today there’s no space for any racism. Bottas “But also, if you step into a train and you see something happening in front of you, it’s not time to just think, ‘That’s wrong’. It’s time to speak up and make it clear that it’s wrong." Vettel "it takes balls to speak up.....We as drivers, we don’t only support Lewis, but we supported [those] all over the world, that those kind of languages are not acceptable in any way and form." Schumacher “It is damaging and there is no place in the sport for those comments,” Alonso Need I go on?
The sooner lulu goes away the better for everyone. Like walking on egg shells. The guy is a pos. This won’t be tolerated that won’t be tolerated. Why doesn’t he start a team with bubba.
I'm just pointing out that words are words. I don't let words bother me, call me what you will, but don't call me late for dinner...
