the funny thing is... the way they did it, it almost looks like the logo was painted on... not a generic perfectly stamped logo. I was considering having them redo it, but it actually grew on me as not all the interior stitching is perfectly straight either. Kind of adds to the character of the car... not a perfect precision modern car, but a vintage, mostly hand made low production Italian car!

The logo is supposed to be painted on. That's what the stencil is for. Looks like they used a bad stencil or an inaccurate font. But all that matters is that you're happy with it. I'm just pointing out it's not as easy as people make it out to be if one wants it to look as OE as possible.

Yes, the Ferrari logo is silk screened on the calipers.

I've actually seen it the other way where it was a high-temp vinyl logo that was painted over with clear coat. Hope you're happy with your new setup! Still haven't put mine on. :(

Sorry, don’t know paint code. We have painted quite a few sets though, mainly 458’s some 430’s. Been a few years We did a lot of work for Tactical Fleet, but they have different vendors now. We did some fun stuff.

I will ask my painter :)

It's been a while but I've been giving this some thought. Just an idea, maybe you like it maybe you don't.

On my current and previous F355, the parking brake is -decent-? But certainly wouldn't trust it on any grade without putting it in gear.

SO, my idea was, have rear rotors built with alloy hats to match the front.

The e-brake/fastener room issue is solved by taking the rear drum parking brake assemblies and removing them, along with the actuation cables.

More unsprung weight reduction than keeping those components.

Next is, remove the rear distribution block (well, just 2 lines in 2 lines out) and replace it with a hydraulic parking brake valve such as this-

    https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/lgpages/matcoPBVALVE.php

Would need to put together an adapter from the stock primary parking brake cable to the actuation lever of that valve. Would get returned by the existing return spring.

I think it would be rather easy to do since the primary parking brake cable runs right under the dual brake distribution block.

Not saying I would set it and leave it like that for years but I would personally be fine with it for day to day use.

    Thoughts?

“The valve works really well. Easy to install. It will not hold full braking pressure forever, so chocks are necessary if youre parked more than a few hours.”

Above review says it is not a parking brake designed to hold for more than a few hours…..

Terrible idea. The parking brake shoes work fine when adjusted and not left on when driving. Amazing how well they hold on my 5k mile car.

Drum inside of rear rotor hat very common among many manufacturers. But most modern sports cars use a second caliper on the rear rotors. Extra weight too….

    Couple things come to mind

    1 Line lock
2 Uniblockar, yeah no one ever herd its older then dirt and from somewhere in the EU
Was wikked theft deterrent. Put it inside all 4 brakes lines then turn the locking key, pump the brakes and all 4 wheels are locked solid. This was the only thing that worked for me when I worked in NYC back in the 80's

Ken, did anything come from the GiroDisc option for 2-piece drilled front and rear? I’d be interested if that’s a possibility still.

Bummer, how many sets are needed to get it going?

I believe it was 10. I’ve already changed course on the rotors and went with drilled OE.

That looks great (except for the gold hats) -- love the big rotors look

Black hats would give it a discreet OE look. I’m thinkin’ 332mm rotors would look good as well with OE wheels.

They won't be gold for long. Miy GiroDisc hats were once blue...
