LMAO What you fail to understand, is that "finishing" is not the ONLY part of racing However, given Hamilton's lackluster performance this season, i really do understand why his fanboys celebrate his ability to finish a race ... not much more for them to celebrate this season, i suppose Anyway ... once again, for the rationally-challenged: it wasn't "awesome talent" or "amazing skill" from Sir Lewis the Great that caused Leclerc to crash-out, or Sainz to start last, or be the victim of another questionable tire strategy by Ferrari The third-best team was promoted to the podium by the simple arithmetic of attrition among the top two teams. The arithmetic couldn't be more simple. We're done now. Bye-bye
No but it was his skill that put him 3rd on the grid, nearly 0.5 seconds faster than his car had gone before in qualifying.
The reality is that no matter what Hamilton does there will always be a large group of people who will downplay it and the same group get drunk on elation when he makes a genuine error. I think it would be amusing to have a thread that treats the other drivers with the same amount of vitriol that Hamilton gets. Let's see: - Leclerc's unforced errors - Verstappen's moaning on the radio - Russel's inability to get on with it after his incident with Perez All pretty much ignored and barely spoken about. It appears as though the only thing missing is impartiality as some 'fans' are brilliant at turning a blind eye. On that subject, imagine if Mercedes played the team game Ferrari did in qualifying. My goodness the internet would be broken with the outcries of cheating.
Oh my lord...what confused you about "that part of racing...is finishing" Did I say "ONLY"? Let me check...Nope, I didn't...but YOU did. I made a simple statement, which is "part of racing is finishing", which, of course, is 100% correct. How many points did Leclerc get Sunday? Oh right, he FORGOT to FINISH the race. PS. I note that you IGNORED my request for YOU to quote ANY post from ME where I proclaim Lewis the GOAT or anything resembling that. I simply point out his record, which is HOW race drivers are ultimately rated. Not any of this silliness that you guys come up because you don't like the guy because of jealousy, politics, or whatever you guys dream up. PPS. You are right about one thing...you are done.
Expecting impartiality is maybe asking too much on a Ferrari site. Hamilton has been considered as the "whipping boy" by some, and the reason behind their lack of success for so long.. As for Mercedes, everyone knows they win only by cheating and bribing the FIA. That's the party line here.
You think you've been waiting long, I've been waiting for weeks to get new hate threads about Russell causing Zhou accident that was worse than Hamilton/ Max Silverstone. Heck I've been waiting for months to get Max hate threads when he called his mechanics too stupid to fix the drs. Instead, silence. But when Hamilton looks at the radio button we get 5 new pages.
Don't worry...should Max roll off 4 or 5 more WDC's, they'll hate him too. Lewis will be long retired and they'll need someone to whine about from their mom's basement. It's a sad part of certain people that feel the need to show disdain for greatness. And even more sad is it never occurs to these people how pitiful it makes them look. PS. It is funny how Max calling his team out over DRS just makes him "fiery" and "a competitor", Hamilton does it and he's a "prima dona".
Max will never be as popular on Fchat as Hamilton, even if he wins 10 wdc's. Even if a Ferrari driver wins 10 wdc's, they won't dethrone Hamilton here.
If we now say that we all agree that Lewis is the GOAT etc, will you than leave and go trolling somewhere else? Mind you, we already got your message.
Saying Hamilton is popular here because there are posts about him is like saying you're popular here because members respond to your trolling.
Can that pendulum swing a bit too far? I never heard anybody have an issue with folks referring to Vettel as Seb, Leclerc as Chuck, or Tusonoda as "Yuki." I don't know; I don't see every public interview. Again, I'm open-minded, so maybe a Formula 1 champion giving a public interview called Schumacher the "Whitey that takes it from the behind," Carlos as the "browny man lover," or Zhao as the "yellow gay" got a pass?. Piquet certainly got away with it a few times with Senna. ** As I said, this is all fine and dandy; I'm not the thought police or suggesting mind control or even arguing anybody should be forced not to say racist/sexist things. I'm a free speech type of guy. I totally disagree with what Brazil courts are trying to do, so for the folks that love this kind of speech, we totally agree there. I've even gone as far as encouraging folks that agree with Piquet to be more conspicuous about it. I've always preferred honesty over fake 'virtue signaling'; these folks should do as Piquet, refer to Ham = as the negro butt taker. ** What surprises me, though, is it would appear these days, there is sort of a reversal - more and more folks are okay with Piquet's speech. I just never thought folks would rush so quickly toward particular caricatures. It's not the best way to refute all the #NoRacism helmets as simply being a PR move addressing a non-existent.
Impossible to know who's GOAT, can't put them all in the same car. Also I've read the last few pages, a lot of disrespect and hate towards Lewis from different people, so you have to clarify who it is you want to leave.
Not really accurate. I was among the first to put the blame on Leclerc, for his error at the recent French Grand Prix (check the race thread for comments about trailing throttle oversteer following a moment of understeer). And we are ALL very quick to blame Ferrari's pit wall for continuing blunders in tire strategy. Further, when Verstappen's "moaning on the radio" approaches one-tenth that of Hamilton's, I'm sure we'll be commenting about one-tenth as much, as well The truth is ... Hamilton is falsely inflated by his fans in several of these threads, much more than he is falsely deflated by those who actually understand racing.
No need for the fanboys to leave ... reading their posts is pure entertainment The Hamilton fans want to admire and celebrate Hamilton's ability to "finish" races, while the Verstappen and Leclerc fans are busy celebrating the ability to "win" races I'm fine with it, personally
Imagine that ... a zinger, devoid of content. Another thoughtful, informative post Like i wrote ... the Hamilton fans are pure entertainment Please keep the posts coming!!
I like being a entertainer rather than a hater any day. Providing entertainment is fun for both parties. Being a hater may indicate personal shortcomings.
It's better for John Wayne Gacy to be a clown than a hater any day. Being a clown is fun for both parties. Being a hater may indicate personal shortcomings.
As far as I know there’s no prohibition against anyone doing that. Someone should take up the challenge…..
