That is fantastic, thank you so much Ian
Ooops... Mitch (Yelcab) found a small error in the 5.2 Lighting diagram... Here's a new set of diagrams (USA/Euro) https://www.dropbox.com/t/SGbOLcQy3e6fKOxT
Unfortunately, not anymore. I use Dropbox because they have a free version, but their free service comes with limitations. Note that USA users have less limitations for some reason. I’m not willing to pay for a Dropbox subscription because I don’t find it user-friendly. A subscription would give me permanent links, but I can’t figure out how to upload updated files using the same link addresses. Google Drive seems to be free and offers permanent links. Does anyone know if it offers a way of overwriting old files using the same shared links?
@Qavion i read all this thread and is awsome, im i working on a friend 95 f355 and it have isues whit the dealear installed alarm, for what i read this car is 2.7, so no imobilazer but, anyways the alarm is not leting the car start. i see that you put a dropbox link for the 5.2 a few days ago, i will appreciate A LOT, if you can put a fresh link for the 2.7! Thank you so much!!
I don't know if these will help. Does the aftermarket alarm stop cranking or does it cut off power to the fuel pump, fuel injection or ignition? Or are you going to tear out the old system and patch up the wiring? https://www.dropbox.com/t/IKd3L6LeyGvx0BYg You may need a number of different diagrams (Alarm, Ignition System, Suspension, Lighting, Mirrors&Doors)
Is cuting power on ignition and injection, you can see that is not a factory installed alarm, but it have a conector that goes to the car harness, so i belive that the car came prepared to install the alarm but was an optional. you are AWSOME, is going to help me a lot, thank you so much!!!
Note that there are differences between Euro and USA steering column wiring. Here's a comparison between the USA connector and Euro connector (to the best of my knowledge): Image Unavailable, Please Login Also, there may be wiring differences between LHD and RHD cars. There may be slightly different pin locations.
Just discovered this thread and would like some help, I looking for inormation about the wiring diagram or/and the rear light harness to my EURO 1996 GTB. And the same for an US one. It's seems are not same Thanks in advance
Or can someone one tell me which cable ( each color ) is connected to .. or what does it "supply electricaly" Picture of the rear light connector Image Unavailable, Please Login
They are completely different. Euro https://www.dropbox.com/t/tlybdeSCgnYatD6O US https://www.dropbox.com/t/tlybdeSCgnYatD6O The rear lights are at the bottom of the diagram. A colour chart is at the top. Rouge is Brakes Rouge/Noir is Reverse Jaun is Markers (sidelights) Orange is Rear Fog Noir is Earth (masse) Bleu is RH turn Bleu/Noir is LH turn
Sorry, the last link seems to be in error. Try this: US version https://www.dropbox.com/t/4jVOoWfLWDVRnoal
Note that the diagrams above are for the 2.7 Motronic car. Slightly off topic, Elliott ( @MAD828 ) noted a discrepancy between one of his project cars and my 5.2 engine management diagram. My diagrams were based on some original Bosch diagrams in German and I didn't see the note below the throttle potentiometer. Image Unavailable, Please Login Apparently Ferrari's have swapped pins. Here is a corrected diagram: https://www.dropbox.com/t/EpCuRp47cgOh1qOh The red/blue wire (on pin 1) has 5 volts on it. The F1 version of this diagram may take longer to resolve. The F1 has a dual output throttle potentiometer. I'm not 100% sure of the internals on the F1 car's throttle potentiometer.
Howdy! Please send me a link for the US 5.2 diagram. I will also gldly host all of them on my dropbox account and give full time access. Thanks!
Here's a combined Euro/US 5.2 set: https://www.dropbox.com/t/yUvItZXd4S1Hd5e7 Thanks for the offer, Rob, but I'm always making adjustments/improvements to the diagrams. I wouldn't want to burden you with constant uploads. Also, I get enjoyment in solving wiring problems. If unknown people are downloading the files, I lose that enjoyment. I've seen at least one YouTuber using my old (sometimes wrong) diagrams in his video and I haven't been able to contact them. Note that the F1 diagrams are incomplete (I haven't been able to get the data to complete them).
Thanks! Really appreciate it. Got busy and did not get back to this until today. Cheers! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Hi, Nicolas. Here's a set which may suit a 2.7 Euro car: https://www.dropbox.com/t/yVRTLBJ2c29tqQKD Unfortunately, wiring does seem to vary between individual cars, so I can't guarantee all diagrams are a perfect match. Cheers
@Qavion - I just picked up an F355 Spider (RHD/UK/98') last night with a few electrical gremlins. Could I possibly have any wiring diagrams you have? You could consider me in your debt!
F1 or stick? I've included both in this "5.2 Euro Spider '98 package", John https://www.dropbox.com/t/hush46eBFAue77j0 By the way, it's more interesting for us if you tell us what your problems are Also, we can point you towards the right diagram. e.g. interior light wiring is found in the Window diagram.
That's amazing, thank you so much. So far I have driven it 20 meters off a trailer, but I know the roof is inactive and I discovered the lights don't work. The popups do work, as do the parking lights. No interior lights or tail lights however. The electric windows trip out too. This may be mechanical load too high or similar. It's sat for 5 years as part of a collection, so I expect to find more!
So it's not just a fuse issue (for the external lights). There was a gentleman who recently had problems with his tail lights and tracked it down to a wire between the frunk relay panel and the connections at the passenger footwell relay panel. Hope it's not a rodent issue. I'll try and find the message thread. The interior lights run off fuse 29 in the footwell. Do your electric doorlocks and clock work? (same fuse) The roof could be anything. Make sure all the logic is satisfied: Park brake set, doors closed, windows have dropped when the roof is unlatched, pull back the roof manually and listen for the OK beep (or the not OK long beep). Check the hydraulic reservoir is full. The roof fuses are between the seats (on the upright section of the centre console), but the system also needs the AC System fuse (fuse 24). Are your instruments working (speedo, tacho, etc)? (Same fuse) Does your roof manual override work?
