Soo much room for activities LOL, I have also included a photo of the modular straight pipe section which I can customize sounds as I see fit. Theoretically I have (3) tonal options. Full straight pipe, full race mufflers, and 1 race muffler and 1 straight pipe to dial in the exact sound I want. Really excited about this and can't wait to start testing the sound profiles.

This is actually not my shop, it's a local fabricator out here in Scottsdale, AZ I have commissioned to build this system for me. He has been amazing to work with so far and his skills are next level. We are getting really close to firing it up for the first time :)

Back from a business trip and doing a dump of the latest updates. Stock exhaust weighs in around 83 pounds.....

Full system is now perfectly fitted to the MM and tacked welded in place. Now we are on to the final welding of the entire system. You can see hoe clean and beautiful the system came out. You can also see the modularity and ease of changing the straight pipes and race mufflers at the bottom of the system for easy access to custom tune the sound at will depending on my mood. I'm super excited about how this is turning out and hopefully have the most tunable Testarossa exhaust system out there which is pretty cool.

The next set of photos I'll drop is the actual final welding process, vbands, o2 sensors etc. Hope you all enjoy this as much as I do. It's like art :)

it can return to stock in thirty minutes. I believe a louder exhaust on a Testarossa is what brings the soul of the TR alive and feel bad for the owners who have never driven their TR without the stock exhaust.

Exactly, honestly one of the easiest exhaust systems to remove and put back to stock. This is the only modification I will do to my Testarossa, the rest stays 100% stock and the only change is the glorious sound :)

    Looks great..it really does.

But I'm just wondering...how much time=money..material=money..do you have invested into this vs just buying an exhaust from tubi or capristo..or whomever...

If you have never built, made, designed or constructed something you could have bought for less, then I have great sympathy for you.

I do it every damn day my friend..like a robot. And I question it every day. I try to convince people who have zero understanding of what is required to do such things..and it falls in deaf ears until I present the bill..then the fight starts..

I'm tired of the internet and posts like this. You have at minimum 30 hours into this..what is your rate?

Sorry I pinched a nerve there. My point was that sometimes people just want the satisfaction of having done it themselves, of being involved in the process. Anyone can go to Capristo - I did, but this chap felt the need to take on the challenge and make one, or help to make one that he has a great deal of control over. As someone who does make things, you'll know that feeling well and I'm surprised you don't get it. I'm also surprised you have forgotten that once upon a time you didn't know how to do whatever it is you do every "damn" day. How did you learn? By going out and buying it or by doing it? When this is done, OP will have learned a great deal and good for him (Sorry to hijack such a great thread with this - it will be my only reply). Maybe you should present your customers with a running total so they are less surprised at the number of hours you spend at whatever rate you charge them for their project.

Anyway, cheer up, life is too short. Just enjoy this fellows adventure and don't worry about the size of his wallet, I'm sure its sufficient.

Beautiful work. Creating something you have a passion for has no price tag! Unfortunately the beautiful polish will darken with use, ask me how I know.

A lot of time and a lot of money in materials to make this prototype, but it's done now and can be replicated with relative ease. The reason I went this route was specifically because Tubi or Capristo simply don't make the sound that I desire, so those simply weren't an option and decided to reinvent the wheel so to speak.

It's a big risk and undertaking for sure, but I feel like this platform has been lacking on evolution over the years and I feel is becoming more and more popular for enthusiasts and collectors to take these cars out and enjoy them. Today was the first day taking the car out and hearing it for the first time, I never thought a Testarossa could sound like this, it screams. I need to figure out how I am going to record the sound and make some videos or something for you all to hear.
