In 2002 I spotted this Lusso at Toni Auto in Maranello. It has a subtle yet noticeable modification in that the trunk lid is slightly raised, almost like a duck tale.

I've never seen this feature on another Lusso. Does anyone know which Lusso this is and the story behind the duck tale?

    Thanks, Peter

Does anyone have pictures of the rear of Lusso s/n 5651? Someone suggested this s/n as being the car at Toni, but I have strong doubts.

    It IS 5651 GT.
Back in 1977 when Dominique Panissod of Veytaux, Switzerland, owned this Lusso the rear was damaged when a man named André Lechère crashed into the back of the Lusso in the city of Lausanne, thereafter the car was repaired with a strange looking tail end, which was later again replaced by a standard rear end.

Thanks Marcel. If my database is correct, I saw 5651 at Auto Salon Singen on September 9th, 2000. To me it looked a different shade of green there, more like Verde Pino. The Lusso at Toni in 2002 was if I recall correctly more of a bluish green. It also has a different outside rear view mirror compared to the Lusso at Auto Salon Singen. So maybe the Lusso in Singen is not 5651? Image Unavailable, Please Login

    Same car.
It was in Singen in 2000 when owned by Rolls-Royce collector Dr. Walter Leuthaeusel, resident in Grossen-Linden, Germany. He then traded it to Auto Neuser.
