Just bought a 2018 model and the bluetooth only works for phone calls and not media. Tried unpairing and connecting again multiple times. It wouldn't connect the day I bought it so they took it out back and the engineers tried with multiple phones. Somehow it played media through a Google phone but not Samsung or iPhone.

Anyone come across this problem before?

Why the sarcasm? Something which should be easily fixed isn’t working hence I asked the community if they have come across this and what the fix could be.

Did not expect a troll in a forum of Ferrari owners to be honest.

Is it equipped with Carplay If not it sounds as if it is working normally. There are alot of different options in the Audio system even though they look the same the underlying equipment is different and it is very difficult to retrofit.

No it doesn't have car play but does have the feature to play media from a mobile phone. It works with the google phone and plays music fine but not an Samsung or Apple device.

When I connect the iPhone the car screen does say that the phone is connected and will work with calls and media but then if I go into Media it says no phone connected.

Not yet. Apparently it was just a software update but it hasn't fixed it.

Mine, (2019), does the same when I connect my iPhone to media. A solution is to switch to radio then switch to media, that works almost all the time. Good luck

Mine still hasn't been fixed. 3 months along now. They said it needed a software update but that messed things up more and the radio, navigation and Bluetooth stopped working.

Yeah they ran a bunch of tests and it was a faulty NIT unit. Once they replaced that it started working.

Have you tried a hard battery reset and then rebooting everything? I know it sounds simple and crazy but I have had several 458/488 with radio / infotainment issues that were taken care of by just rebooting. I know some of the issues are actual bad units but this may help someone in the future with an issue that can be solved this way.

The workshop tried that on mine + a software update/reinstall but that didn't fix the issue. The workshop did confirm what you are saying though @ Ferrari Tech that in the past a reboot or a software update has fixed the issues.
