Yeah, some say that, but I am not convinced. It's a partisan viewpoint.

I watch other series where there are no Ferrari, and they are not boring.

I’d rather have Red Bull “walk away” with the championship finishing each race 2 seconds ahead of Ferrari instead of Mercedes walking away with it while lapping the entire grid. The points don’t tell the whole story. This season has been as exciting as it has been painful for Ferrari fans. There has been more racing these past two years than there has been since 2012.

    It's not a partisan view, it's merely a fact.

    Ferrari = Drama

    The Bard would love it.

It's actually very tight in car performance and Max is battling the Ferraris.
    But.......

Much more interesting than the grey Mercedes processions of yesteryear.

was we just 2 secs behind MV in france and Hungary? dont remember the top 4 being seperated by just 2 secs in Hungary, or the race before, we was closer to 8th than first... Even GR is closer to 2nd than we are 1st in the drivers championship, doesnt look much better in the constructors either.

I am not overly confident we will be quicker than Merc come Spa tbf.......

It is tight, But we always find a way to mess a race up, We was tight with Merc in 2017 - 2018 and Merc still made it look easy while we waved the white flag with team mistakes and Vettels.

George needs to win the WDC before 2026 because when Porsche powers RB they will wipe the floor with everyone. Same for Charles. Fortunately for LH he will be retired by then so his fans will be spared having to defend him.

Not yet, we havent even had the break, and Toto didnt change the rules / protest for it, it was the fia who found it them selfs surprising all but two teams apparently, the two most vocal againts the change i would guess.... Merc didn't even know....

They wont.. What makes you think that?

Honda got it terribly wrong when they come back... Would likely still be struggling if we still had quali modes too...

Plus.... Ferrari always make the best engines.

I'm reading a lot of .... sucking and .... licking to Porsche lately. Surprising in a non-Porsche forum.

Dudes, they aren't demi-gods, they can loose. Actually their record at single seaters is quite average, and at sports cars is not as great as it looks because many times they raced alone and they quit when they aren't winning. And with the current rules it's going to be harder for anyone to open a big gap. Also Red Bull makes duds too, and in 2026 many things may have changed.

    Geez, give me a break.

P.S. moderators, check the profanity filter, I had to manually edit some nasty things.

Honda got it wrong due to a combination of factors, primarily due to the complexity of the pu and Mclaren’s insistence on Honda building an engine to fit McL specs. The limited development rules didn’t help. That said Honda powered Max to a WDC and will win again this year whilst Ferrari are sliding into the abyss (again). The new engine specs will be simpler and Porsche will have plenty of lead time for development.

These modern hybrid engines are limited by thermal efficiency--basically the power is limited by the amount of energy the engine can get out of a fixed amount of fuel. These modern engines are already running above 50% TE, and are the only engines smaller than 60MW diesel engines (piston only) that have reached 50% TE.

    a) you can't give it more gas (FIA limit)
    b) you can't blow in more air (stoichiometry)
    c) you can't spin the engines higher (or lower!)
    d) engine CoG is fixed
    e) engines have a minimum weight
    f) engines have a minimum lifetime

So, where is Porsche going to find this power to wipe the floor with everyone?? Packaging ?

taking into consideration all of the above all of the engine manufacturers should currently be making the same power….don’t think they are.

They're not but right now they're all very close to each other. IIRC the difference between best and worst is around 15hp this year.

With all the parameters imposed by the rules, and after years of development, it's no surprise that the 4 engines have reached a plateau in power.
That's the FIA and the teams wanted.

    Not at all.

Back on topic Russel for me the most irritating driver on the grid, Id far rather listen to Lance than Russel who always seems to be "reading" some press release.

    I forgot about that thing:D:D:D

Bad team, poorly designed engine (wasn't it basically 2 TAG V6 welded together without the turbos?), car had to be redesigned to fit the overweight engine....it was never going to work.

Exception rather than the norm and surely something they learned from
