    I recently purchased a 2018 488GTB from a dealership about a month ago, genuinely love it. Its my first Ferrari and everything about the experience and time on the road has been amazing...except for one thing...anything under 40, it squeaks, and the brakes HOWL, sounds like a train stopping. Even just town/city driving, or along a residential road (30mph limit), even without the brakes being touched, squeak squeak squeak.

    I've tried a few hard stops, 100 down to almost stop 3 or 4 times, and i generally drive it pretty hard when i can get a clear road, but nothing seems to stop it.

    Anyone got any ideas what I can do here? I get squeaky brakes when you actually use them, but to be constantly squeaking doesnt seem right.

    Are you saying that its perfectly normal? Ive seen posts on here about brakes squeaking but not constant squeaking under 40 regardless of brakes being used or not.

    Thoroughly rinse the brakes when they're cold. Lots of times it's simply brake dust causing the pads the "chatter". Other than that, it's as craze says -- "cause race car".

    Had an Italia and now a Speciale. Both would get the squeaks if the brakes were dirty. I simply clean them with my foam cannon during my usual wash routine and it’s gone.

    The constant squeaking when just cruising at low speed is a thing but not all cars do it... my 2016 did it but my 2019 does not. It only seemed to happen after the car was warmed up and I only noticed it when the windows were down.

    Mine squeaks and howls just like yours. I think the side slip makes it squeak even if I'm not on the brakes. I've learned to live with it.

    Its more the "not on the brakes" squeaking that annoys me lol! I'll give rinsing them off a go, but as soon as it warms up, practically anything under 40 and it sounds like im being chased by a flock of angry chirping brids!
