I am not a runner, too hard on knees etc I reckon. I am a swimmer though and my heart rate regularly goes to the 160s during squad.

So having just finished reading the club magazine I feel I have to say some stuff. With great respect to Michael who has a part in the mags publication. Nameless faces..hundreds of 'em,what's the point of that when you go to a function or FNR. The proof reader must have gone for a Tosca when it came to the travesty of Ray Helm's tribute,John Morettin's! written eulogy having gone the same way as the proof reader! To top off the fact that Ferrari Inc want to put 'us' into a tiny bubble where no other make of car can be included in the same breath,it's almost worth a think that The Black Stallion Enthusiast Club could be a starter!
I just read mine the other day also, was nice seeing friendly faces. Congrats to JM for being fast in the 355 also! I was also cringing at the spelling mistakes throughout the magazine. Otherwise very good.
I just got Horsepower 73 today I am distressed beyond words about the disrespect shown to Ray Helm... what an absolute disgrace! How many years service did Ray give to this club and not a word from the President, no lead article in the Qld section, and John Moretti's article 'missed' altogether. Angry and upset. I have written to National President and mag producer; maybe a few others could add their voices.
Michael feels terrible about the oversight ... there will be an erratum following on from the email with a link to the eulogy I wrote for Ray. Michael was gutted by the printer's mistake as were all of us in relation to the FU Here was the eulogy I sent Michael : Ray Helm - the final farewell By John Moretti The final farewell to our much respected Ferrari Club member and friend Ray Helm, was a fitting send off to a true Ferrari enthusiast on 25th February 2022. Despite the funeral being held in the middle of one of Brisbane’s largest deluges in decades, around 60 of Ray’s family and friends paid their respects in person, including several who made the journey from interstate whilst another 100 or so participated in the online stream for the people that could not make the trip due to COVID restrictions or flooding. As would be expected, the service was "Ferrari themed", with some of Ray's trophies and memorabilia arrayed by the coffin. Rays family and friends provided moving eulogies and tributes and many tears were shed. Only a few Ferrari’s were in attendance due to the dangerous conditions, and these cars escorted the hearse to his final resting place. Ray will be sorely missed by all with his charming warmth and cheeky humour. At least all of the pics made the edition Michael spoke to Ray most days he was in the retirement home and some like me were lucky enough to be in close proximity so we could drop in and have a talk with this lovely man and I even tried to take him for a drive in the 355 but he was too ill by that stage
