    my recent little fantasy:
(true part): going skiing at a resort town in Switzerland this coming winter. There is a Rolex AD in town (yes... I looked...)
(fantasy): they will have several new ones for sale, and I can buy what I want, at retail prices.

Are the Rolex AD's in Europe similar to the ones here??
meaning basically nothing out to sell, everything is out the door the moment they arrive.

    your thoughts are appreciated!

I was in Mexico City last week and went to two AD’s.
    They just laughed at me.
    Worth a try though.

Yes, exactly the same. A friend of mine just came back from Switzerland a week ago and went to the AD and they had zero. Same in Milan as well.

Is your dream to buy from an AD...or just to buy a Rolex? A particular model?

Sleep on it for 2 years. You will wake up in a different world.
As Much as I got most of the watches I wanted, I still wouldnt mind returning to the good ol days. It will come, just be a little patient.
My only consolation when I go to an AD but got a no, is that I still have my money and fortunate I can afford one.

So true , nothing (for sale )Rolex or AP in Geneva ,Lucerne or Zurich. I was there last week. Matter of fact ,AP Zurich told me I need an appointment…… ok . Their response was ,we are booked out 3-5 months. I guess you show up 5 months later for your appointment and they say sorry we don’t have any. LMAO.

our local AD (where I bought mine) is (as per everywhere else) out of everything.
I've got my eye on a few...
if one of the few I really like became available, I'd buy.
my fav is the early to mid 2000's steel white faced Daytona. That would have to be used... but not at the 30K (or more) price tag....
    first world problems...

I was just at an AD yesterday in Fullerton, CA and bought my wife a Rolex. We’ve bought 5 Rolex’s from them in the past few years. Several friends have bought from them too.

They have probably 50 different Rolex’s in their showcase, both new and pre-owned. If you’re serious and want the jewelry stores name, PM me. I also have the owners cell #.

I'm still missing the appeal. What's driving the mad rush for these? Sorry for being dense, especially on a Ferrari forum, but...
