Ricambi prices seem to be 10-50% higher than others like ScuderiaCarParts and Superformance. After the 10% FChat discount I usually eat the still added cost because they’re active on FChat. However, I’ve been told no more discounts for FChat.

    $2487 vs $3668 almost a 50% increase for Ricambi!!

ScuderiaParts is in the USA too. I usually paid a bit more, even after FChat discount, because Ricambi is active on this forum. I can’t pay 10-30% more for everything when maintaining 3 Ferraris. If Ricambi needs those increased margins the maybe they should look at overhead costs.

Keep in mind with the other options your paying shipping and customs top get into the country and that can be a lot. I spend $80-$100k a year and on the wholesale end its almost a wash for me between the two as 80% of Scuderia's inventory is not in the US. Also keep in mind its easy to advertise something, doesn't mean you have it. Ricambi is always very up front on the website if they have it or not and often others are weeks away once you place the order. All parts from Ferrari have gone up significantly this last year. Larger sellers are running off inventory smaller players are having to stock up at current prices and pass it along. I find I need to order from 6-8 different venders depending on the type of items.

I agree partially, there’s a reason I usually went with Ricambi. However now, the difference is too great. ScuderiaCarParts and SuperFormance have always been cheap/zero and fast shipping. Not sure regarding import fees because I’ve never seen any tacked on.

There’s a $1,500 difference in just the few items for a clutch job I posted. My shipping estimate is $80 for all this from ScuderiaCarParts. Probably similar shipping cost for Ricambi. No import fees during checkout.

Prices must be a lot different on the retail side then I see. Most of what I order from anyone else is coming from Europe such as windshields, and larger orders that are crates not boxes so I see the customs and shipping costs. I suspect consumables from Scuderia are coming from their US warehouse.

You’re correct, ScuderiaCarParts has USA inventory. I just called them because they didn’t show the upgraded (and lower cost) Hill Engineering Release Bearing on the website. They had to custom order it for me, but still cheaper than Ricambi, but a 2 day delay. Shipping is $46, plus $12 in optional insurance.

The level of customer service I received with ScuderiaCarParts when calling was phenomenal. I worked with Chris. I have a 348 TS, 599 HGTE, and F430 I maintain myself, so I look forward to trying them more. I was very impressed with the customer service and cost.

Regarding big items, I too am facing some import fees and shipping cost challenges while trying to order a 599 bumper from Italy (I want a spare while I can buy one).

The Euro has dropped 20% in the last year compared to the US dollar so perhaps Ricambi are still selling their stock at what they paid for it months, perhaps years, ago rather than at the current exchange rate.

Their prices may come down once the newer stock comes in (relatively speaking).

Haven't used Scuderia USA yet... but when I needed a 360 fuel pump overnight.. Ricambi was there and delivered. I like to think you get what you pay for.

I agree that Ricambi has great service. I just used ScuderiaCarParts and also had phenomenal service. I called to ask about the hill engineering release bearing (not shown on their site) and they got it for me in 2 days!! Also, it was cheaper than Ricambi. They also gave me a discount for no reason, I didn’t even ask. I posted the invoice above.

used scuderiacarparts once; never again. exceptional poor quality aftermarket shields and they made me pay for return shipping and refused to refund original shipping. never bought a thing from them since!

I use Ricambi without even shopping around. I know I "may" find something more cost effective somewhere else, but loyalty and supporting someone who has provided nothing but excellent service for my needs is more important to me than saving money.

If Ricambi’s prices are 30-50% more, it doesn’t seem they reciprocate that respect.

Buy from whoever you want. Im merely sharing info to help FChat members with price research. I just used ScuderiaCarParts and they were fantastic.

I am not suggesting you should buy from Ricambi, you buy wherever you want, I was just expressing what I do and my take on the matter.

Ever since they had to take down the parts diagram though, it's been touch and go. I can imagine this was quite disruptive to the business. A shame, as I've always had great experiences with Ricambi. Hope things get better.

I clicked into this expecting to read that Ricambi retired, was going out of business, etc. - instead it's a veiled promo for a competitor.

Love this line though: "I can’t pay 10-30% more for everything when maintaining 3 Ferraris." Let us know where to donate

Yes, my logic of spending time to determine the best quality to price ratio, doing price research, learning and willing to do things myself, etc is what has allowed me to own a garage of appreciable sports/super cars cash outright prior to being 30 years old. I also lived in my car in work’s parking lot for 4+ years showering out of a sink to save every penny I could to start life debt free, pay off my student loans early. Make fun of someone for being cheap…? Seems ignorant.

Funny, you think you’re insulting me? Dude, I posted comparison links of products between suppliers and my consumer experiences (which I agree Ricambi is great) simply to help other FChatters save time/money. If you don’t like my opinion, and the facts, move along, or even comment, but no need to seek ad hominem.

I've always loved Daniel and Ricambi, but I started seeing the same thing, so Eurospares has been my go-to lately, especially when they have their free shipping. I had an opposite experience with Scuderia "USA". I put in an order, and they would not give up-front pricing, when I got my invoice, there were over $200 of shipping and duty fees, there was nothing "USA" about them. I told them to pound sand. Maybe they've fixed whatever it is.

I pointed out the obvious in a playful way. Like it or not, it's ironic that someone is crying poor while mentioning their three Ferraris. Surely you must be perceptive enough to get a little chuckle out of that.

I honestly would have expected you to laugh along, but it really seems to have struck a nerve and now I'm wondering why

Yes, people straying off topic seeking ad hominem always strikes a nerve with me.

Your sarcastic comment about “where to donate” makes insulting implications.

I’m just trying to help people on FChat. It’s great when people present their personal experiences whether in agreement or not with me. You straying off topic making personal comments towards me is counterproductive.

“Crying poor” is another insulting implication; ad hominem.

Daniel has gone beyond the call of duty so many times that he's always my go-to source. If it costs a bit more occasionally, so be it. It would be a loss to this community if his business failed.
