EGR 348

Can this be deleted and are there any kits out there. Will this make the card throw codes?

I tried to search for it but could not find any information on it for the 348.

 

After a little more research it appears to be called air injection system.

 

I've deleted that crappy system off my car, go for it, it wont spit out any codes.
Mine is a Euro model though.
You'll need to plug the ports, see the pic black plugs above the exhaust ports, I think the thread is 16 x 1.5mm.
I just bought those plugs from an engine parts supplier, they are a generic part.
Then just take it all off and toss it. There will be a couple of vacuum ports to plug on the manifold too...

Thanks for this, this was my plan and i found others on the board that have done it.

 

It will turn on a check engine light on US version car and put a fault in memory if you are still subject to emission testing.

 

Are you sure thats not for OBDII cars?
