It's a new world, Elkann (Chairman since summer 2018) has zero interest, so Ferrari has zero interest, Elkann is all about "electric".... I doubt there will ever be another XX car based on a V12 engine...it was nice and we had some great editions, but I think it is all done.
Quite reasonable to presume, same top leadership (Elkann), but, maybe not as Elkann is all about "the quiet'
I understand Avengers, Star Wars, and Techno music ain't everyone's cup of tea. Some prefer 40's Superman, Flash Gorden, and Big Band. That's fine. I point out that the video above is anything but quiet. Furthermore, just like ICE nowadays is theoretically all 'artificial' based on pipes, plumbing, tuning, and chambers (I'm not talking about speakers) - current technology can make any ICE car quiet. It's purposeful. The anathema raw vacuum cleaner noise can equally be manipulated. I get some people refuse to drink Coke Zero, only watch Live Music, never sit in a massage chair, deny Fabreeze, and only accept Original paintings.
I think it best when the entire results are shared. Otherwise, what is special about this electric motor? Some pretty sharp engineers have been working on these for decades, what is it that Ferrari claims to have accomplished that others failed to do, to make this patentable? Does it have greater power for it's weight or is somehow more efficient? What is left to invent or innovate on for electric motors for cars?
This is absolutely gawd awful. I don't care how much cheerleading the EV proponents do, that sound is torture. They might as well tell us rap is the future of music, and "you will like it.".

That's just the worst sound I've ever heard in my life. It's like a torture session. 30 seconds of this gave me a headache. In the not-too-distant future the EV gang will want people to eat bricks and enjoy it.
next hypercar code named f255 (source- autopareri). f250 seems another ev. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
What I heard is that the F250 would be the V12 hyper. As far as I know the F255 is the LMH Hypercar (V6+hybrid). So would the F250 be a direct successor to LaFerrari? (V12+hybrid). Although I also heard that Ferrari would not use hybridization in V12, but who knows. About the F250 being an EV, I don't know if Ferrari will make another EV in this decade besides the future EV Purosangue and the F244. Vigna stated that the main focus will be on hybridization, not full EV. If I made a mistake about something, I apologize.
According to Ferrari the next 'supercar' is NOT V12, it will be related to the LMH (but should be V8): Image Unavailable, Please Login
yes f255 is the lmh.[motorsports.com]. after dodge, maserati ev imitates v6 sound... within the same corporate umbrella, we may expect ferrari also use this technology.
Sound is entirely subjective. Some folks hate the witch's bubble of American V8s, other's think it's heaven's siren call. One thing that is not in question is speed, performance, and the ability to make any sound you want. ICE combustion is already manipulated to produce anything from near silence to hell's bells. I just think never is a long time to say engineers will forever fail to make an electric motor ever 'sound good.' And if Star Wars and Marvell franchisees tell me anything.
Some folks hate how motorcycles scream down roads; others think they are audio nirvana. Today, the only option is either/or. Tomorrow one vehicle be able to produce both in the future. Now, of course, I hate faux anything. I would hope the high-end exotic brands would stay pure to some authenticity. In terms of rank and file? If the plethora of fake scoops, plastic intakes (to nowhere), false diffusers, faux side vents, lookalike carbon fiber, and exaggerated exhausts tell me anything. It might be a battle already lost. Sound thing engineering and progress don't stop.
https://sfcriga.com/herbert-von-karajan-and-cesare-picco-the-noise-of-ferrari ...Another comparison the musician made was that of the Ferrari to the one he has defined as the “piano car.” “Like the cars I saw today, apparently similar but actually never the same, also each piano is quite different to the other and being able to obtain the best performances depends largely on the pilot’s or musician’s skill. The piano also has twelve notes like the 12 cylinders of your engines and that’s another similarity I would like to emphasise.”
I was thinking about just this the other day. I have a favorite tunnel I like to traverse. I took my Dino V12 this weekend, and I must be honest and say I prefer my Dino V8. I was listening to F1 cars on YouTube. I liked the V10s and V8s over the V12s. Again, not saying there is a right/wrong for 100% of people; on the contrary, other people here are doing that. Projection, by definition, is often not self-aware.
