the simple conclusion is that the RB is the best car at spa, doesnt matter what ferrari does max and rb always have the advantage

put any tire on that RB it just works, the tire last and that make them fast and unbeatable

the same gonna be in monza

Today, I saw a very mature race from Red Bull and Max Verstappen in particular.
Max has come a long way from the teenage torpedo I used to berate for his track antics in his early years.
Already last year the mounted at massive challenge to Mercedes domination, better than anyone in the last 3 or 4 years, culmunating in him winning the title.
Today, Max started the race with a serious handicap, but still cleaved his way through the field, patiently and methodically to reach the front, and then build a massive gap from his pursuers. His win was really convincing to me.
With 9 wins already, Max Verstappen is probably sailing towards his second title, driving with assurance and superiority.
Credit to Red Bull Racing too, for showing such efficiency. There is at the moment no other team at their level. Period.

No, that won't make me a Max "fanboy" or a Red Bull admirer, but praise must go to those who deserve it.

Max Verstappen is 93 points clear of his closest rival. If he can extend that with 37 points by the end of Singapore in 3 races time, he will be 130 points clear. Then, with just 5 races to go (5x 25 points + 5x 1point FL = 130 points) he will be World Champion.

I watched the entire race, I thought it was pretty exciting. When Louis cut across Fernando, and they hit, I was glad he took himself out rather than Alonso. Alonsos comment over the radio was funny !! Im glad Max took the win, and in my estimation , he will take a second title this year, which I am very happy about. I dislike both Ferrari drivers, and I hope neither win a title . As soon as the Mercs come back online, which will happen any race now, they will also surpass Ferrari, not because of Ferraris machine, its because Mercedes has the better drivers, they just need the car to catch up with them, its that simple. As long as Ferrari has this driver line up, as I said way back when, they will never win a drivers or a constructors title, its also, that simple. If LH did not screw up today, he would have beaten both Ferraris, and his teammate , he is still that good , and miles above both CL and CS . Ferrari should fire Leclerc and put Alonso back in the car !!! lol

Imagine being with him on a passenger boat from, say, Southampton to New York City.

I see a great script for a potential blockbuster coming up, Bas!

I don’t believe Ferrari will win another race this year unfortunately.
Red Bull are bringing better development during the year as usual.
And we will have to fight against Mercedes for the rest of the season I fear.

I doubt if they really need to. They are already way ahead, IMO.

I mean Ferrari was 29 and 50 seconds behind at the finish !!!

Plus, they have to mind the budget cap too !

Only if Ferrari filed the flight plan, changed the tires, and/or built the engines ;)

Lewis won't talk to Alonso because he called him an idiot. Somehow I don't think Alonso will be too upset about this.

    Sadly, I agree.

Russell showed the Mercedes has good race pace. I think the technical directive that Mercedes begged for pushed Ferrari backwards towards Mercedes. Red Bull had minor upgrades this weekend, doesn't have the new chassis yet and Max was miles clear of the rest. Ferrari, Mercedes and Perez to squable over 2nd and 3rd from here on out, it seems.

Max can win the title in Japan if he wins the following 3 races and 2nd in Japan (any order) and 1 fastest lap, with Perez P2 in 3 of those and winning 1, and fastest lap in 7 of the 8. After that it would be mathematically impossible for someone else to win (and that's over Perez, not Leclerc...!)

Guys I wrote it before a long time ago, the best chance of ever winning a wdc title is for Ferrari to hire Max

And here’s another impressive Max statistic (from the F1 website):

Consecutive races won from 10th or lower on the grid has only happened once before in F1 history (the last race of 1959 and the first race of 1960 by Bruce McLaren).

    Wow.

Best chance for Max to lose the WDC.

    We got the drivers.
