George has always been so high on himself, moving to MB has really shined a light into his insight on either him or MB being full of themselves
He's a 7x WDC and he's knighted.....can't be more selective than that can you??? He's supposed to set the standards of F1 with regards to the jewelry and going the see the medical doctor when he is told for his own safety.
If the gap created by Red Bull with their development pace is real so one can realize that even without strategical mistakes done by Ferrari, it would have been pretty impossible to beat them during a season with 23 gps.. This is the most worrying thing in the end.
For once I was happily surprised by Ocon. Maybe the fact he might be the de facto team leader in 2023 is giving him wings?
I agree with Lewis, that it's better to know someone's true feelings rather than the apparent phony respect/camaraderie Alonso's been showing him over the years. To be fair... Hamilton called Alonso "dangerous" for not letting him by last year when Ocon won. He's had plenty of commentary highlights of his own. Disparaging Sergio last year among others. Talking crap on the radio during a race bothers me a lot less then when it's a measured and thought out response to a reporter.
Alonso's response was quite tame, given the incredibly dangerous shunt forced by Hamilton. Nobody buys the "i didn't know Alonso was there" excuse. The notion that the "apex is mine, no matter what" is a real pattern, throughout Hamilton's career. So ... on one hand, we have a driver forcing a dangerous, life-threatening maneuver on-track, causing a collision (!) ... with no believable excuse other than "entitlement". On the other hand, we have the shunted driver using slightly harsh language in immediate response Hamilton would do well to just keep his mouth shut.
I think the most disappointing thing for me in the race was not being able to challenge Checo for 2nd. He seemed nowhere in qualifying and yet easily pulled away from Carlos. Ferrari were lucky to hang on to third. Another depressing weekend- it's like being a fan of the Cleveland Browns.
Yap, Elton shut is a poet! It was a real shame not to see what charles could do, he was right up there with max, but of course i think once max was clear of the other cars, he would have been able to easily pull away from Charles, but Checo was a lot slower, it would have ben interesting.
Thanks, haven't seen these pics of Ayrton in a while. The Gen 1 did fine for sales for a while but Honda just didn't provide enough updates, and the car languished. Towards the end they were doing $799 a month leases on them to move the cars off the dealer's lots. Now Gen 1 prices are up.
By the end of this season, Carlos and Charles will be fighting for 5th and 6th...and Ferrari will be lucky to hold on to third.
Worrying for who ? Binotto don't seem worried. Remember, he said early on this season that Ferrari wasn't aiming for either championship [his words]. I think he will deliver on that !!!

Unfortunately you are right. Leclerc and Binotto speechs after the race were unreal: « we can be champions if Max has some problems during the next races » !! Denying reality is a big weakness. Again Binotto needs someone next to him to deal with all the pressure Ferrari creates.
Max passing Sainz was crazy fast, by the next corner I think Max was a full second up. Full credit to Max, but the entire team and Adrian Newey deserve this championship. Maybe not all 20 drivers would be winning in the RB car this year, but most of them would.
Going by just the last race, yes. But both championships would likely be tight if Ferrari didn't keep finding innovative and interesting ways to implode. Sadly, the season is over at this point.
That's the way Max drives since his first day in F1......more mature now than before but he's full pedal to the medal and he's not looking back. Leclerc and Norris possibly would win in the RB18B.
