I know, it sounds like another crazy theory, but please tell me that you don't think that all the mistakes they are doing week after week look surreal?
I read and listen to a lot of Italian stuff, and it's becoming more and more clear that many of them believe that Binotto is trying to favour Sainz. There is a growing dislike for Sainz, Rueda and Santander amongst the italian tiffosi, and indeed many are convinced that all that has been hapening cannot be a coincidence. truth is, apart from Austria, Charles never manages to finish in front of carlos for the last half of the season, while being faster than him every single race. When did this happen? I can't remenber. They made 7 mistakes with charles this season, that's half of the races so far!! I mean, are they really this dumb, should we really believe it?
many believe that the fact Charles trashed sainz with such a big margins didn't sit well with santander, nor with Binotto who personaly hired sainz (and not Charles). I honestly don't know what to think, but these constant blunders with only one side of the garage are starting to look suspicious, and i can say that for most italian fans, Sainz and company are not very well liked. I do hope i'm wrong, because Charles is one of those drivers who was born to drive and win for Ferrari. I respect Binotto for his quality as an engineer, but i'm really starting to wish a change of the guard at maranello, because with Carlos we will never win ****.

Never ascribe to malice what can adequately be explained by incompetence.

It is highly suspect. Charles had P5 sewed up. But they try to get 1 pt for fastest lap. They don’t get fastest lap and lose two more points because of the penalty. I was wondering wtf are you doing? Very unhappy with the Scuderia this year. They are clearly an overall, midfield team. IMO RBR and Merc are still the pinnacle.

    What makes more sense?

    (a) they have the smarts to effectively plan and execute a complicated campaign of undermining a driver?

    or …

    (b) they’re just incompetent, bumbling boobs?

    Sorry. It’s (b).

It looks unlikely to me that Santander would manipulate the team simply to promote Sainz, when that costs Ferrari as a whole.
But that can not be disproved either.
Follow the money. How much sponsorhip Charles Leclerc brings to the Scuderia compared to Sainz?

Or stated a different way:: the thing Ferrari F1 need to do is to quit being run by Italians.

Yeah, I think it has to be just straight up incompetence, but it's a pattern that definitely gives the appearance of being intentional since it's so damn frequent.

I doubt they can even spell sabotage. This is all that is left of the Roman Empire...pathetic incompetence.

Answer - No, they decided (some time ago) Sainz will be No 1 and Leclerc will be No 2. Problem is they havent told Leclerc that..............yet.

    Leclerc is not being sabotaged.

Ferrari is entirely incapable of orchestrating something like that.

If you listen to the radio calls to Sainz they're just as stupid but Sainz calls them on their ********. Leclerc is too trusting

I'm not convinced of either thing. One one hand, it looks a bit farfetched, on the other it's too much imcompetence to be true!
For example, someone said that the mistake in qualy with the new tires did not cost Charles, but that isn't true, it did in terms of race, because he had one less fresh set of softs for the race, wich could have been used with a diferent strategy. I know Inaki is dumb, but camon, how come we all see the mistakes before they even unfold and they do not? Are we really to believe they are that stupid? What hapened at Silverstone for example, wtf was that?

One thing is certain: the narrative coming from Binotto's mouth is just unbelievable.

He keeps talking nonsense like if he was addressing an audience of idiots.

It's surprising someone in the Ferrari hierarchy do not tell him to shut up.

He is maybe a good engineer, but as a team principal and spokeman for Ferrari he is a joke.

It makes absolutely zero sense to sabotage Charles. The team is just stupid. Simple as that. The amount of dumb calls they make for Sainz is ridiculous as well, even in the same Silverstone race...telling him to hang back 10 places to give Charles a chance (which immediately blows the sabotage charles out of the water).

Leclerc in Spa had a fresh set of soft for the race but only used it 1 lap (opening). Using the other set in quali was dumb but had zero affect on the end result.

+1 Carlos is much more directive in dealing with the PitWall during a race.

Countermanding the pit wall is ordinarily not a virtue. Ordinarily.

Something is very wrong on the pitwall, lacking hunger and fighting spirit.

Both drivers are doing the best they can.

Binotto's refusal to talk to Sky Italia and instead talk to sky uk has realy enraged the italian press, they are all over our dear team principal...not good for him, italian press has a lot of influence over Ferrari, i don't know how long they can keep him. IMO, he's just run out of excuses, and if you're gonna change, better do it this year, both championships are lost, so better bring someone new that can adpt and be ready for next season.
