Got a call last night from my sales manager. My car is scheduled to go into production in December and God willing it should arrive in FLA in January. I placed my order in August 2022. I now have a large bump on the top of my head from jumping out of my chair when I got the news. Well worth it!
Woow. That is longer than I thought. My sales person told me that it would arrive at the end of november… Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Worse is getting 2022 model year vehicle just before 2023; that is the boat I am in as my SA confirmed my car is a 2022 model. He says it’ll be here by Oct mid but based on what I see here, I don’t think I’ll get it before Dec. car is status 85 since before maranello went on summer holidays. August 2021 order here Got VIN# a couple months ago, sales rep updated us the other week saying 6-9 months until delivery.
The MyFerrari app/webpage will say "waiting list" until after you pick up the car. If you ordered through San Diego Ferrari you will probably get an allocation soon. I was 11 months between ordering and allocation, 52 days between allocation and VIN, 54 days between VIN and shipping. Hoping it arrives at the dealer in the next week then they are coordinating PPF for me. Probably right about 3 months for shipping. ordered 3/27/21 allocated 2/23/22 VIN 4/16/22 first picture 6/1/22 second picture 6/8/22 loaded on a boat 6/9/22 third picture 6/11/22 confirmed at Port of New Jersey, waiting for customs 8/20/22 on a truck headed to San Diego 8/29/22 Rob
It will happen quickly, then very, very slowly: VIN 4/16/22 first picture 6/1/22 second picture 6/8/22 loaded on a boat 6/9/22 third picture 6/11/22 (still waiting for delivery, hopefully this week) Image Unavailable, Please Login
The time between VIN and 1st photo is 10 days in my case for now... I will update my timeline once I get new photos or status updates...
btw there is something odd with your timeline. You got the 3rd photo after it is loaded on boat and your car is on boat for 3 months ?
Agreed, I know the timing looks strange. I was checking the app every morning. When I got the third photo on 11 June I pinged my sales advisor for a status update. He said, "your Portofino M just got shipped out from Italy on 6/9/22." The MyFerrari app does not update the pictures in real time and I had noticed other people getting photos after shipping. I tried monitoring the ships to guess which one it was on since it's only about a two week journey, but didn't get an update on arrival at the port until 20 August. I'm guessing it spent most of that time sitting at the port waiting to get moved from one area to another. My sales team had warned me that the situation at the port is crazy and they have trouble finding out exactly what is happening. They predicted 2 - 3 months from Italy to here and they were absolutely correct. When they notified me that it was cleared and on a truck they were able to get the final invoice which I had read some people were having problems getting. It's nice to get the paperwork out of the way in advance.
I ordered my PM in Feb of this year, patience is being tested big time! I spoke with my dealer the other day and he let me know Ferrari increased the price something like $7500 usd. Has anyone else experienced this?
Yes, I ordered in November and yes I was told of the price increase 90 days ago along with the fact that Apple Carplay was now included in MSRP, therefore lowering the cost by $4,000. USD.
Just saw the final pic of my Porto and they messed up the config big time. I ordered a Rossa Corsa with bi-tone (black roof and A pillars) and they have built a Grigio Ferro car with god knows what config. I am so mad. I have been waiting for nearly a year and now they are going to restart the build from scratch and I don't know when I'll get it. This is my first Ferrari. Has anyone experienced this kind of frustration?
Ugh, were you able to confirm it wasn't just the wrong picture? Was the second picture (painted frame) also wrong? I have not read about this happening in the past. My Portofino M (ordered March 2021) arrived at the dealer yesterday and they very nicely sent me interior pictures to confirm everything is as it should be.
Yes the second picture also shows Grigio Ferro. I got all three pictures only today. Reason for this they actually bumped my place up in the line by utilizing the allocation of another customer who cancelled his order so all the pictures were going to SA, who did not forward it to me until today.
The same thing happened to me. The dealer called to confirm my options and when the revised build sheet came to me the base cost had increased. In fairness, AppleCarPlay that I previously ordered was now “standard”. But even with that change the price had increased several thousand dollars.
Man I fell your pain because if that happens to me I’ll be a bit more than PISSED! Not that this will matter to you, but my dealer had a silver metallic Portofino M as a demo and it was gorgeous.
They are trying to find out Rob. I really hope it is a misunderstanding and wrong pictures. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
What does your specs say in the app ? You should have your built details there. They do not match ? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
