Suffering a huge bout of jelousy, FIAT friends have just landed a container from Europe - Fiat Dino spider for her; Abarth 1000 for him! (not a couple, just Fiat mates). Both additions to nice little collections...
Definately a 1000 but not sure of body shape, I haven’t seen the pic since they’re on FB . Pretty sure it’ll be genuine, guy knows what he’s doing. He already has a genuine 131R.
So is this the bloke at the Gold Coast who's name escapes me....where the 365 was left once? His 131 was/is a honey,if so.
No, that was a standard (albeit perfect) 131. The one I referred to is an Abarth racer correct from the period.
Umm not wanting to get into a tit for tat,it was absolutely an R....unless he built it into one.He had it for sale briefly for $18k some years ago and sort of offered it to me.
Identical to this one that was in the ACT: https://www.justcars.com.au/cars-for-sale/1979-fiat-131-2-0-racing/JCW5037956
Can't tell you it's a secret, the advert is up to 5 years old. Ask Mike his impressions of the dealer. The R was only an 'addon bits' car,the real magic happened when Abarth waved their wand.....a bit like my M535i without the M5 engine.
