In my eyes, Lewee completely redeemed himself here:...
Good to see F1 twitter is insane, the conspiracy theories there are genuinely hilarious (from all sides).
Checo's last race was a mess. He has fallen hard since Monaco. His qualy is weak vs Max and in general his gap is larger than Bottas was to LH. Id take Bottas over Checo currently. He is not consistent enough. Via the press - Autosport 3. Perez’s timing was perfect, his driving much less so After his win in Monaco plus outqualifying Verstappen in Azerbaijan, Perez’s stock was soaring as he appeared to have mastered the return of ground-effects in F1. He had a two-year contract extension at Red Bull to show for it (signed before his principality success) as the Mexican appeared to have resolved the lingering problem concerning the second seat at the team. It can be argued that he was fortunate to sign when he did. For Perez yet again delivered the kind of substandard weekend that had Daniil Kvyat, Alex Albon and Pierre Gasly dropped back to Toro Rosso/AlphaTauri. He spun in qualifying to wind up a cavernous 0.735s adrift of Verstappen at Zandvoort and duly allowed both Ferraris and a Mercedes to split the RB18s on the grid. Then Perez couldn’t hold a candle to Verstappen’s race pace, or the demonstrably slower Mercedes, Ferraris and even the Alpine of Fernando Alonso.
You realize Checo's last race(DutchGP) his car took on "old parts"......hence his lackluster performance. Checo is tied with Leclerc in the WDC standings.....with Leclerc P2 and Checo P3.
Sure but overall he has not improved as I thought he would. He's around but not much of a factor. This is not personal. My thoughts and last weekend was anything but a good weekend no matter the parts involved. He has not really had much impact. He should be up in the points - LOOK AT THE CAR LOL.
At the moment, when compared to Max, there's only 2 drivers I can think of on the F1 grid currently that have "much impact" when paired with Max. (Leclerc and Norris.....possible Russell).
Sainz. But would they leave Ferrari to sit next to Max. THey just need a robot driver tuned/programmed to stay p2 at all times LOL
Carmen on Twitter: "Just found this video on FB. Apparently the second flare thrower was someone from the organization at Zandvoort (see the earpiece dangling from his neck). Translation of the video: “he just threw it on the track, what a d*ck!” @F1 @CP_Zandvoort #F1 #DutchGP #DutchGrandPrix https://t.co/0wpXZVUysQ" / Twitter 2nd flare thrower was wearing an event security outfit. Crowd far from impressed. Neither flare thrower seems associated with the orange army.
Max is driving with the natural talent of Senna and the robot like consistency, feel, precision and driving style of Michael. Quite a scary combination.

The abuse and vitriol spewed at the likes of AT, Tsunoda, Hannah Schmitz, Russell, Bottas has been utterly shameful. It's just a Grand Prix for heavens sake! #F1 #DutchGP
Anyone spending any time since yesterday on twitter/insta/youtube (can't speak for FB since I don't have it) will be amazed. I thought last week was bad when they where ready to lynch Alonso for....a crash that was Lewis fault and Lewis himself admitted to, but this week is something else. this video (time stamped) explains part of the lunacy just from Belgium and what teamLH was on about. (warning, plenty of swearing)
Redeem is an inappropriate term in this context. And his fans will keep trying to justify his poor conduct and poor performances.
