    It's stuck to window using double-back tape. Would have to remove window or dash to remove it. Just had the dash out to recover, unfortunately I didn't see it.

    The vents look nice. Maybe you can chase the wire to the end? Wiclic plug is GPS

    Thanks, those are the aluminum vents from Rizo. Look great, easy install. Was thinking I might remove the driver air vent and see if I can reach in/of view wire. Might be able to trace it that way. Thanks for feedback guys, it's a strange one.

    Most likely a cell phone antenna - installing such stuff was popular 20 years ago. You could try to remove the windshield pillar trim (and unfortunately the top of the windshield trim as well, which is a per-requisite) and see if you can pull it out from the side. Or remove the dash (for which the pillar trim needs to be removed first) or just ignore it - you have not noticed it before :)
