can not agree at all with that. Tracking my sf90 Af car a lot, you are from the getgo quicker than a RHD car, never ever traction issue, so hard acceleration out of the corners, where my P1, 765lt, Gt2 Rs struggles with putting down the power, the Sf90 disapears.. the only downside is his weight wich use more tyres over lap, but when you constantly spin tyres in your lighter RWD drive car that doesnt help either. I for my POV would never ever consider the uglier, slower, cheaper but lighter 296. See that is all realy personal thing and at the end maybe a financial thing as well.
The 296 looks like a BMW 2 series as far as interior, compared to the SF90 being like a 7 series. Being completely surrounded in CF will be a LaF-like experience!
This has little to do with desire or interest. Rather, it has everything to do with ability to afford one. The pool of buyers at this level is very, very small. And, it’s likely those ordering this car have other Ferrari’s. That guy is going to want either the perfect spec, or simply order his own (or buy something else. The flood of cars hitting the market is a combination of those trying to unload on the high side (definitely missed the apex at this point), and/or someone with a spider inbound. Few are dumping the car because they hate it. Also, few are cross shopping an SF90 and 296. If you have the money you buy the SF90…or both.
See there you go with elitist commentary about the 296 bc it’s only $500k and not $700k. It’s ok I concede you’re far richer than the average 296 owner, feel better now?
Another laughable comment, I have the money and didn’t like the sf90 so I went with a 296. I also think a 355 is a better driver than the sf90 does that make me poor too?
This thread is funny lots of sf90 owners with insecurities, anyways best of luck guys, just remember, when we die, money doesn’t matter
Funny, I'm not sensing the insecurities from the owners. Heaven forbid people like the car! There are differing points of view, and therefor multiple products to choose from.
I think it is funny when someone says because they don’t want to spend the money on an SF90, it must be true that anyone who does is a poseur. Talk about insecure… Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Drove both extensively, track and road, if that’s the conclusion you came to I can only speculate that you have no to very little experience with both or you lack the ability of discerning between the two. The SF90 is savage when driven properly and simply glides by coffee shops when you just want to show off how rich you are. Best of both worlds.
Hey everybody, this guy has the money. LMFAO Personally, I’ve always felt the Ford Probe was a better driver than the more expensive Taurus SHO…but, instead opted to buy the Escort GT.
Haha.. exactly. The AF SF90 car is incredible and completely misunderstood clearly by people who have no wish other than to slag it off. No way the 296 is not a great car but after driving both and having seen them side by side recently, the SF90 AF is next level and priced accordingly. There will be more 296 owners moving up to SF90 in the secondary market than SF90 owners moving to 296 IMHO
Non elitist, just on other POV, wich is valid as yours, but with my own experince of the SF90. Guess you havent any expirience with the Sf90 on road or on track? Be happy with your 296, but do not try to convince us owners with that non sense.. sorry wrong place in the Sf90 section
One reason for the flood of SF90s one the market Amy her the terrible experience my friend had with his new car. After waiting 18 months, upon delivery he put 20 miles on it the first weekend , parked it properly with the charge on, and then the car went to sleep. FNA towed the car to the dealer (350 miles), where the problem could not be duplicated, sent it back where the car promptly repeated the problem. FNA picked it up again, and after almost a month at the dealer, the owner was told it could not be fixed -- that Ferrari had no idea what to do. Because he has no confidence in the car, particularly with getting stuck away from home (even if the problem could be "fixed"), the owner has sadly and with great disgust agreed to a refund of his purchase price and sales taxes. Unacceptable. Apparently, this a a serious problem with the software, etc. From discussions with another dealer, this issue is not uncommon.
And you believed him, would he tell you if it is otherwise.. I never heard something simular to your story, have no done 4000km on my Sf90 around 2000mile, most on track, so the car is driven quit hard, other then the anouying tyre pressure warning zero issue, nothing nada…
There is an SF90 AF with sub 500 miles for sale in the UK with Tom Hartley Jr. He's had it for sale for a few months with price drops and is currently asking £395k New cost was £518k which is a horrendous loss made even worse that the first owner is getting even less then the £395k ! In the UK at least, I see the 296 following suit with flippers getting their britches burnt big time !
Remember when Pistas were selling under MSRP and there were 50 for sale in the states? Demand may change..
The issue on that one is priced out of market and will need the right buyer. Not that way to sell. That one would sit in any market except fire sale. The market can help most cars but not all. If I specced a F8 S to 600k and it didn’t sell, it may not be the market. That dealer is going to be holding that bag. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
A little hyberbole. the BAT listing ended RNM at $770k with fees, or $55,667 short of original MSRP - just over 93%. Failed to attract the typical bidding war at the end of the auction with only two parties involved and only three last minute bids total from the two of them... I personally think the auction / value was hurt badly by the build itself. For the money we're talking, having a very bland base exterior color -- and I say that as someone who has a (wrapped matte) nero car myself -- and an extremely bland interior palette relatively to most others hurts a lot in my book. As someone else said in the comments on BAT -- "I really believe (that) paint option is not that attractive to enthusiasts nor collectors."
It may not be for everybody. A lot of power, and the strongest V8 they've made. Not sure why people hark on the looks. It's stunning!
Just arrived back in US - stayed in Tuscany. Enjoyed with my wife, shopping dining touring. the Ferrari event was spectacular Picture taken when leaving, I enjoy Ferrari and what it offers in an experience. Image Unavailable, Please Login
