Jeff Bezo's auctions ride for $28 million approx. 11 minutes start to finish (similar, but different to Virgin Galactic's Spaceplane suborbital spaceflights) https://www.cnbc.com/2021/06/12/jeff-bezos-blue-origin-auctions-spaceflight-seat-for-28-million.html launch at 3:30 .
Future passenger ticket prices should be around $300,000 (or more) for about 3 whole minutes of zero gravity. Meanwhile, Elon Musk and SpaceX will continue to deliver astronauts to the ISS. .
I was going to say, I can give you at least 30 seconds (never timed it) of zero G in my Citabria, for almost nothing!
Right on! I may have mentioned it before but as a neophyte crewman on a B-24 we were given a call to come from the waist position to the flight deck. That meant a passage through the bomb bay on the narrow catwalk between the bomb racks. Just when you were half way all of a sudden you were floating in mid air and grabbing for a stanchion or a rope to keep from floating up to the overhead. If you didn't land back down on the catwalk when gravity was restored you could land on the bomb bay doors that could be triggered by stomping on them sometimes, we were told. It was a weird experience but fun at the time. I don't know how long it lasted but it was long enough to impress the recipient.
Luckily this one was unmanned. It usually flies with six passengers (who would have been fine). Single engine amusement park ride. Blue Origin's New Shepard Has Fiery Engine Failure In Flight .

Good to see the crew module escape sequence worked (apparently) flawlessly. You can see the starting in the 3rd still frame, prior to final failure of the booster.
Interestingly as the crew capsule touches down, the lady commentating says ‘there goes the retro thrust system’ I saw no evidence of any such thing. Just a big cloud of dust thrown up at the impact. does it even HAVE retro rockets as well as the main separation motors?? Anyone know for sure??
yes, for sure. that cloud of dust are retro rockets firing a fraction of a second before impact. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Shepard .
