Imo I think it needs its own category, this is going to be the most discussed Ferrari in the last decade and to prevent clutter it needs to be separated :)

naa, General Ferrari Discussion is pretty light anyway, so a couple threads on a SUV will be good.

Lots of folks feel the same way about the FF/GTC4 Lusso. But like a Patek, those that know - know. It doesn't surprise me that many see this Nautilus and say it looks cheap and dated. What you're really upset about is the Hublotification. We can only judge that once the specs come out. Then again, folks on this board argue that Ferrari should ignore stats and regress....but I digress.

    Cheers

Something tells me Gino, you are not their target customer.

I was talking about the SP3,( not the SUV ) with that being said , its a shame Im not their targeted customer, lest that SP 3 be left in someones collection never to be driven ! lol Its a sick car, but the ass end of my 328 looks sexier . You never know , I never thought my life would get so good, yet it has, Ive never thought I could ever become a millionaire either, I have not, yet , but there is still plenty of time in Gods world.

I was talking about the SP3 as well. But, You've changed your mind. I now agree, definitely should be sent back to the factory to be torn down to start again.

    That back?

I would be ashamed to be in this car. You would get so much laughter and stink face from anybody that saw this car that it would distract one from driving it you'll crash into a tree.

They definitely should have gone simple and more dated familiar design.

    Oh, wait...

Looks are subjective and IMO the SP3 looks incredible inside and out. I walked around it a few times and couldn't really find anything I would change. I just wish I could get one.

Damn, now you've caused me to change my mind again.

On third thought, I agree with you now, it does look good.

Yeah I think the sentiment is if you are offered one, you buy it. Even if you didn't want it forever (I would), it is found money.

They could have started with this design and just improved it ( Im talking about the rear ) , the back end of the car looks like ****, no matter how many black tied idiots are standing around it. Just because its new, does not mean its better , we all know that. Pinan would have made it perfect. By the way, this 330 SP, looks better overall , but the Daytona is a great looking car, Im just saying the back could have been much better than looking like the design of the inside of an elevator. The strakes should have been 1/4 of each side ( with the same curving , only 1/4 the length ) , and then something else that pays homage to the original 330 SP for the center. ( the exhausts also brought down ) . I love the overall design of this Ferrari, I actually have 2 1/32 slot car versions, thats the closest I will get to owning one, I have to say , it has to be the best looking Ferrari ever .

So the Dino 206/246 gets a Model Specific group and the Ferrari Purosangue does not?

For example, my 2020 DUCATI STREETFIGHTER V4S , is one of the best machines to ever come out of Bologna. BUT there are two parts of the design that are flawed, first, the screen sticks out like a sore thumb, with no shroud to encase it, so I bought the Ducati made mini triangular windscreen that mounts onto the back and comes out over it a bit, then to finish it off with a PUIG RAFALE CLEAR TAPERED proper windscreen. This brings the overall look of the front end higher than stock, and gives proper wind protection, and the bike just looks better. I have also removed the four winglets, which produce 60 lbs of down force at 160 MPH, but they look like hell. I replaced them with a pair of CNC winglets that are wrapped in a carbon fiber shroud, and boy does it bring the machine to a fine proper look !! Im so glad CNC thought the same as I did about the original set up !! Just because its a Ducati, and its brilliant, does not mean it cant be better , same with the Daytona . The winglets dont look like they stick out like a sore thumb with the carbon fiber wrapped around them and fastened to the front side bolsters that are next to the radiator . I even replaced the black front fender with the proper red one .

Ferrari Chat should not even consider giving that pile garbage its own section !! lol Are you kidding me? We should not condone it . Its a waste of a good V12 engine for Gods sake , and then you have another useless suv driver to contend with, like we already dont have enough of those people ? Now they will be in a Ferrari looking at their phones while drifting in an out of the lane ? !! For Christs sake as well .Good grief . Unfortunately , Ill have to look forward to knocking off a mirror on a Ferrari when its driver almost kills me on my bike . lol !!! You know 99 % of them will be sold right here in the great state of California .

God I love these new design threads!

As a student of the game I love to observe the psychology behind each person’s preferences in car design. It’s fascinating to me just how differently we all interpret things and the defense/crusade of our opinions. Lol, I’d love to get back in a studio focus group to see what’s changed and or remained the same since I was last there in ‘94. I guess these threads will have to do. :)

Is there any other product that brings out such emotions? Love it! :)

I agree, I love to debate on design !! This place is fantastic for airing ones opinion , whether it be Ferrari, or other . I wish I could go and talk with Luca D, and ask him what his thoughts are , he was with Ferrari way back in the 70s , I believe in their F1 program, he would be the best mind to pick when it comes to Ferrari, their design and practically everything we discuss here , especially when it comes to Ferrari then and now . I love the F8 / 488 / 458 / 812 much more than the 430 , I dislike the SF 90. That 330 SP is in my estimation , the best looking Ferrari ever , the Daytona SP3 looks good, but it just does not make my heart and mind move the way the 330 does !!! At least in photos, I know once , or if I get to see the new machine, I might say," who gives a care about the rear design, this car is sick !! "

If the PS V12 sneak peak from Motor1 is real than it has fixed length intake tubes. Maybe has a tuned box intake to further copy the F12.

Impatient ? As you have already been advised the protocol here is to wait for the official launch (and name) so in about twelve hours your concerns should be resolved

And there will not be owners so soon after launch - on recent evidence a year or more to first European delivery
