I was surprised to see how much was carried over from the 206 (one happened to precede it on Bat)- knock off wheels, grab handle in running board area, foot rest for passenger, separate headrest, wood steering wheel / distinct horn, aluminum opening panels…These cars were more of an evolution from 206 to 246 than I was aware (or had paid attention to).

Mine looked exactly like this but I didn't have spinner knock offs. I had Hex nuts and used a tool.

Also mine had a black interior but the seat pattern was the same. Easiest way to spot an L is the Trunk release button at the back.

These are very cool!! Lots of 206 features plus a 2.4 motor versus 2.0. They also came with the larger 205 tires versus 185 for the 206. This one looks tired and needs everything but for a $400,000 restoration the new owner can bring it back to original colors and make it like new!

looks like it had a factory installed radio.... the cutout in the glove box lid looks authentic....
likely it was a Voxson Sonar GN 104 with automatic antenna
original leather NUVOLA VM 3015 will look great with silver.... full leather option with a L-series Dino was quite rare... just 6 cars....

I was wondering if the electric window switches were an aftermarket add-on? It has holes in the doors for the manual override crank.. not sure if they offered power windows back then, and if they did I would have thought they’d use the Daytona switches that the later cars used..

Thank you omgjon, exactly my thoughts, this car needs a full restoration and needs to be put back to it's original factory state. Let's see where it will end up with final purchase price.

Yes, #00754 would have had 205 70/14 tyres, whereas the very early 246 L series still had the 185 14 tyres carried over from the 206.

@Marcel Massini do you authorize use of your reports for auctions such as these?

Disappointing presentation by seller and poor due diligence by BaT IMO.

This is a car that needs a lot - frankly, you can't tell how much it really needs. The seller decided not to make any cosmetic improvements, that is their choice. Hopefully, the pictures present the car as it really is. After all it is "Bring a Trailer" - not all Dino's are $600,000 cars.

I'm pretty sure someone added the electric windows but not 100% sure unless someone special ordered it. Certainly the L-series wiring harness had no provision for electric windows unlike the later Dinos.
Full leather is rare as Matthias pointed out, this along with the original paint color makes this one quite nice and desirable.
There are alot of rare and original parts still on this car like the steering wheel, gauges and interior fittings which are all 206 based, looks quite complete and about as good as you can find for an unrestored car.
Few items like the air cleaner lid have been replaced but the really tough things are there.

Glenmore is a tiny little town, this car must have been tucked in a garage for quite a while, or never driven, because I would have spotted it in an instant. I spent a lot of time, over a lot of years, in and out of Glenmore, and the barn in the photos looks incredibly familiar. Only maybe 3 roads in and out of that town, and I can't believe I never saw it. Tony, at Scuderia Performente has serviced the car, and he's a premium quality mechanic.

If anyone here is interested, REALLY interested, in buying this, I can contact the seller and get permission to talk to Tony about the car.

Well, this thing’s not getting any love.

It could be a great deal for someone with the ability to restore this little jewel. <wink, wink toward Texas>

Only issue I see here, is of a reserve, that will not make it worthwhile,
unless an arrangement can be reached post-auction.
