    I have both the October 2000 and the November 2022 Forza 308 Buyer’s Guides. The 2000 Buyer’s Guide is 10 pages and the 2022 Buyer's Guide is 6 pages.

    The 2000 Guide is dense with information and is much more instructional in how the car works, is better at showing photos of the variations and better at giving details about what to look for when buying. Its “tone” depicts the 308 as an aging daily driver rather than an antique vehicle. The buying advice spans from checking the tool kit to checking tire treadwear.

    The 2022 Guide is a flasher magazine article with larger photos and much less text. There is good content regarding the historical context of the car and provides some panorama of the various variants but assumes that the reader can get the details elsewhere. The article accepts that the 308 is now a historic vehicle but claims still that it can be a daily driver. The article also claims that buying one is easy because “there are usually plenty of 308s for sale.” People shopping for a 308 may dispute this.

    AND, for the 2022 article, they had the good taste in using the 1983 US-spec GTS in most photographs, which is indisputably the best 308 variant (… not like I am bias or anything).

    I have been a subscriber for several years and did not see a 308 Buyer’s Guide in 2020. I don’t think I was a subscriber yet in 2013.

    Mia culpa. There was a 6 page 308 Buyer's Guide in the August 2013 Forza magazine. The 2013 Buyer's Guide headline was, "The Quintessential Ferrari - Starting at $20,000."
